Discover Assassin's Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory differently with the Discovery Tour

Originally created for Assassin's Creed Origins, the Discovery Tour mode was later adapted to allow everyone to explore the AC games universe differently. Indeed, it takes the form of an educational mode that provides access to a wealth of information related to the monuments and historical sites recreated in the games. This time, Ubisoft offers to learn more about Al-'Ula, the oasis in the Medina province that serves as the backdrop for the Valley of Memory expansion of Assassin's Creed Mirage. For this occasion, we have the right to an application available as of now. 

After Baghdad, it's Al-'Ula's turn

In October 2023, Ubisoft Bordeaux invited all the players of the Assassin's Creed franchise to discover an installment aiming to offer a return to the roots. Assassin's Creed Mirage, as it is called, thus offered a more intimate, more condensed experience focused more on parkour and stealth than those offered by the Assassin's Creed Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla trio. Almost two years later, in September 2025, Ubisoft decided to release a new application based on the Discovery Tour mode. Thus, users of Android and iOS devices could download the Discovery Tour App - Medieval Baghdad. 

This one has a purely educational purpose. Forget about combat and stealth; its interest lies in the knowledge to be learned. Thus, everyone can freely discover the 9th-century Baghdad integrated into Assassin's Creed Mirage, without pressure, through a virtual tour. The experience is interactive and allows you to gather a lot of information. Shortly after, Ubisoft deployed a new free extension for the base game: Valley of Memory.

The opportunity to relaunch AC Mirage or indulge in this installment since this content adds a new narrative arc centered on Basim and an adventure promising about 6 additional hours of gameplay. Besides all the new features that were then integrated, including new contracts and new targets to eliminate, it was especially the opportunity to enjoy an unprecedented map based on the 9th-century version of Al-'Ula.

Almost a year after the release of the extension, Ubisoft offers to download a new Discovery Tour application. This time, it revolves around Al-'Ula, the oasis located in the Medina province, northwest of Saudi Arabia. For a bit of history, it is very well known as it served as a crossroads in the desert related to the incense trade. Among the must-see points of interest, we note the famous rock called "the Elephant." The application, Discovery Tour: AlUla, by its full name, allows exploring the historical sites of the oasis through missions for an adventure that lasts about 90 minutes.

Users also have access to a timeline tracing the different periods of the place, from prehistory to the present day. It also provides access to a Codex. The latter allows you to enjoy several encyclopedic articles that have been developed with historians and experts. Visuals of real artifacts, 3D models for some, detailed texts, everything is there to consolidate your knowledge. The Discovery Tour: AlUla, like its big sister, is available on the App Store and Google Play Store, in addition to being directly accessible via a web browser.
