Two big weeks before the official release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Activision is using several strategies to ensure the game's promotional campaign. Launch trailer, making-of, and videos highlighting the Replacement, that's the menu of the week. Arm yourself with your mouse or finger, get comfortable, and hold your horses by watching all these new media.
A big minute to anticipate the launch
The leitmotif of the communication around Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is that "the truth lies." Nevertheless, some elements are necessarily true. Starting with the fact that the title will officially release on October 25, 2024. To best prepare for this event, Activision has unveiled the traditional launch trailer. A video a little over a minute long that highlights the slogan related to the campaign and several gameplay images taken from it. An opportunity to remind that it had the right to a long presentation a month and a half ago.
The campaign in the spotlight
Let's not forget also that this solo adventure is signed by Raven Software, in partnership with Treyarch. If you want to know more about the story that awaits you, then we can only invite you to watch the video below which revisits the events of the franchise that took place before those of the new game. An opportunity to clearly understand who Frank Woods, Alex Mason, Jason Hudson, Russell Adler, or even Perseus, the mysterious antagonist of Black Ops Cold War, are.
To go further, Activision invites us to meet several members of the development studio, including Murray Kraft, in charge of narration, Hao Ding, an artist, and Jon Zuk, the associate creative director, to learn more about the universe of this new opus. This behind-the-scenes immersion also allows for obtaining some exclusive images.
The Replacement is back
In case you missed it, the Replacer, played by Peter Stormare, is back. You may have already seen him taking on the role of a family father, a firefighter, a carpooler, a kebab seller, or even the Pope... As we told you, this character is capable of taking on absolutely any role assigned to him to allow everyone to enjoy Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 peacefully. Here is an example of a video showing him replacing the artist The Weeknd, but he is quite capable of taking the place of a clown, boxer Canelo Álvarez, American football player Kyler Murray, or even Brazilian MMA star Anderson Silva.
