Call of Duty: Mobile celebrates the Lunar New Year with Season 2

On February 17th, the Lunar New Year will begin under the sign of the Horse. To properly prepare for the arrival of this event, Activision offers to celebrate it within Season 2 of Call of Duty: Mobile, which follows Frozen Abyss. There's no need to wait any longer to enjoy the much-appreciated Plunder mode and various other new features, as the new Season has just been deployed.

New blood for DMZ: Recon

Defeating enemies and collecting loot are the two main objectives that drive players of Call of Duty: Mobile, especially in DMZ: Recon mode. To give them new challenges, the development team invites participation in the "The Train" event on Serpent Island. As the name suggests, the primary target of the mission is a moving train. To stop its progress, a well-placed missile will do the trick. However, to launch it, one must assault a site equipped with a computer. The catch is that several sites are identified on the map. Therefore, you must find the right one to activate the computer that will fire the missile. Of course, eliminating all enemies along the way will be a satisfying bonus. Once the train is destroyed, hurry to the impact site to recover goods, including a special package containing high-quality loot.

To spice up the games, this season includes a new contract. It's called the Five Gods of Wealth. As the name strongly suggests, it requires collecting specific items at precise locations to summon the Five Gods of Wealth. You won't be able to make wishes as you could with a genie, but you will be able to exchange the collected items for money. Is that not enough? Very well, head to Building 21 for a big surprise. The boss Velikan joins the party. Defeat him, and you will receive rewards... But for that, you'll have to get past his armored guards and avoid getting hit by his grenades.

It's Plunder Time

Many players familiar with the Call of Duty series will tell you: the Plunder mode is certainly one of the best modes of the series. Good news, it joins the mobile experience for the entire Season 2. Form your trio, deploy on Isolated, and amass 1 million dollars to win or almost. Indeed, once the objective is reached, a bonus round will be played. It will multiply the money earned by x1.5 and give other squads a chance to take the lead in the final stretch. How to cash in money? It's simple, find supply crates, eliminate enemies, complete contracts, and secure airdrop crates. A notable point: fallen operators respawn. So always stay on your guard.

Another important point, the person who has the most money in the best team and the two others in the game who have the most money will be marked on the map. In other words, the richer you become, the more you become a target. Of course, to avoid losing your gains, you can secure them, up to $150,000 in each Cash Balloon purchased at a Buy Station. Otherwise, head to the Deposit Helicopters to secure all of your stash... But calling one will alert everyone on the map. 

Red and gold for Shipment, a Duel for multiplayer

To celebrate this Year of the Horse, Shipment dons new colors. Thus, red and gold are prominently featured on the containers, the ground, etc. The development team also wanted to add a festive touch by including decorations, such as firecrackers and Spring Festival couplets, as well as snow. A new lighting further enhances the whole. 

The Multiplayer mode welcomes the 1v1 Duel mode. This one makes its grand return to show who is the best in face-to-face combat. No one will come to save you, you are alone against your opponent. The procedure is simple, you must eliminate your opponent seven times to win a round, and you must win three rounds to triumph in the match. By achieving this feat, you earn a trophy. 

Seasonal content

A theme is important. Activision intends to respect and highlight it as much as possible. Proof of this is several events planned to enhance this season, including one dedicated to the Five Gods of Wealth, namely Fortune Fusion, and another celebrating Ramadan. In any case, this will allow you to earn rewards, including the epic weapon blueprint Type 25 - Emerald Prosperity or the operator Zero - Tranquil Nights. The AGR 556 - Flying Dutchman also arrives as a new weapon in the Secret Cache system. 

Obviously, as always, a new seasonal pass is introduced. The free path allows you to obtain the Lachman-556, a new assault rifle, along with other items, while the Premium path gives the opportunity to acquire several weapon blueprints and operator skins, including Park - VNN Field Reporter or Stitch - The Butcher of Zordaya.
