Activision continues to surprise players by setting up unexpected collaborations. The next one will bring together two seemingly distant universes, namely the first-person shooter represented by Call of Duty: Mobile and the role-playing game embodied by Persona 5 Royal. A themed event, a variant of the Plunder mode, a new multiplayer mode, a dedicated Battle Pass, and several rewards to collect are on the agenda. Let's take stock.

The heart has its reasons... It's time for Plunder

While Season 5 of Call of Duty: Mobile, which highlighted the characters from the series The Boys, is coming to an end, Activision reveals what's coming next. On July 2, 2026, it will logically be Season 6 that takes over. This one, named Take your Heart, refers to the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, a famous faction from Persona 5. This name was not chosen by chance since the development team will integrate content related to Persona 5 Royal. It will start with the addition of a variant of the Plunder mode. Named Plunder: Treasure Hunt, this one will revisit the way to collect the million dollars needed to win the game.

More precisely, the Isolated map will display a special domain. Players will have to go to the indicated site where a large red sphere will be materialized. To access the treasure, they will have to penetrate it, which will of course involve participating in battles. Specifically, it will be necessary to take down representations of various Shadows from Persona 5 Royal over three waves. Eliminate the enemies and you can open the chest. The subtlety is that by going to the area, players will see a major change: the HUD will adopt the visual codes of the RPG. As a bonus, by succeeding in your mission, you will obtain masks giving bonuses until the end of the game.

Throwing objects, collecting elements

In addition to this variant of the Plunder mode for Battle Royale, players will be able to embark on a new multiplayer game mode. Throwable Frenzy will allow, as its name suggests, to throw objects at opponents. Take an axe in hand, run, dodge those of the opponents, aim and hit the targets. The whole thing takes place in an arena hosting ten people, two teams of five. To win, there's nothing simpler, you must be part of the team with the best score at the end of the set time.

Those who thirst for competitiveness can also embark on a new Ranked Match season. The game system will not change but new rewards will be up for grabs, including the Enigma - Zavesa operator skin. If you also want to earn items in the colors of Persona 5, you will be invited to participate in a thematic event. This will require eliminating floating targets at several shooting ranges inspired by the game's palaces. Other events will also be part of it, including a summer-themed one with the Urban Tracker - Summer Sunrise operator skin as the key reward.

A new Pass to push you to excel

A new season arrives, a new Battle Pass is deployed. It's logical, systematic. This automatism adds spice to the games by pushing players to progress to obtain rewards. As always, this will include free tiers and others that are Premium, each giving access to different content. For those who will settle for the free tiers, note that they will be able to obtain the FSS Hurricane, a new submachine gun, in addition to some cosmetic items.

The little extra is the ability to unlock the VTOL Jet Scorestreak. This launches a two-phase attack. In the first phase, missiles are launched at the marked area. In the second phase, the system flies over the bombed area and shoots at nearby enemies. Finally, the Premium tiers offer a chance to unlock the entire Persona 5 Royal-themed content, in addition to the High Priest of Chaos - Judgement and Kryptis - Refraction operator skins.
