Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated releases of the end of the year. After two installments dedicated to the Black Ops saga, Activision will offer a return to modern warfare, as confirmed last May. While the publisher is keen to build on the franchise's achievements, it doesn't forget to plan some new features to spark the interest of veterans, while piquing the curiosity of newcomers. Among the surprises is the arrival of Kill Block mode, which promises to change the nature of each game. Explanations.

A redesigned map in every game

Everyone who plays multiplayer knows that experience is one of the best allies. The more games you play, the more you explore a map, the more you learn to anticipate certain situations. Once you master the map, knowing each of its corners, it's skill that determines who the best player is. With Kill Block players will discover a unique experience. Indeed, each game will be different from the previous one. By what trick?

Simply because Kill Block rethinks the way to approach the playing field by setting up a map that physically reconfigures between each game. Concretely, the map is modular. It consists of three blocks. The combination of these allows for over 500 variations. The whole still maintains a certain coherence since the setting takes place in the West Bridge military training center. You will therefore encounter imposing steel structures.

Each game will require rethinking your tactical approach, whether you choose the 3v3 Skirmishes mode or the brand new 10v10 mode. You will need to quickly analyze the environment and adapt. The big plus is that the development team has already thought about how to integrate this particular center into other multiplayer modes. As a small anecdote, sections of the map can be both new and inspired by iconic locations already explored in the Modern Warfare franchise. Kill Block will be available from October 23, the official release date of the game.
