If you are currently playing Fortnite, then you must know that we are in the midst of Fatal Judgment as part of Season 4 of Chapter 5. While waiting for November 2nd and the release of Season 5 of Chapter 5, Epic Games is adding an update to the Battle Royale mode to give a "spooky" feel to the game. Enough to properly prepare for the Halloween festivities.
Get ready to have nightmares
Traditionally, October is the perfect month to scare yourself, watch horror movies, or enjoy various horror content. Epic Games has deployed update 31.40, more beautifully called Nightmares. For these Fortnitemares organized in Fortnite's Battle Royale mode, the developers have pulled out all the stops. Jigsaw is particularly highlighted as several TV screens on the island await players. Spend some time on them and you will see Billy offering you the opportunity to challenge another person on another screen. Both then wear a special explosive mask. It's better to eliminate your target in time if you don't want to become a victim. Successfully completing your mission will grant several bonuses, including a witch's broom making its grand return.
That's not all, as Saw fans can launch explosive Billys that will approach the nearest player by pedaling on the iconic tricycle. However, be careful, this one is explosive! To find them, it's simple, you need to find them on the ground, search chests, or defeat the character at Freaky Fields.
Whether in chests or on the ground, explosive Billys are not the only weapons to discover. There are also chainsaws. Play Leatherface by picking them up to slice through opponents or propel yourself forward by planting them in the ground. Of course, other "spooky" weapons are included, such as a stake shotgun (to get it you need to kick the Sculptor's butt at Brawler's Patch), a pumpkin launcher (explosive). However, forget about Black Panther's claws. As always, several quests have been introduced to encourage you to accumulate hours of play and obtain theme-related rewards, including the Nightmare of Choice music track.
A horde to face and guests
By heading to the Discover menu, you will be pleasantly surprised to see the return of Horde Rush mode. It is temporarily back to challenge you to face hordes of cube monsters until you reach the final boss. It's up to you to do your best to eliminate as many monsters as possible, chain combos, and increase the score multiplier.
If you love fashion and guest stars, then a visit to the shop will be essential. In addition to the Billy outfit that has just been added, several others will be deployed throughout the event. Mephisto, Sally, and the Pumpkin King (The Nightmare Before Christmas), Edward Scissorhands, Maleficent, Captain Hook, Cruella, She-Venom, Agony, and even Leatherface will be part of the lineup, with Corbomello arriving shortly before the end in the item shop.
