Fortnite welcomes content from Kingdom Hearts

With Chapter 7 - Season 4 of Fortnite, Epic Games has decided to pay tribute to over 45 years of video games. Thus, this new season, more beautifully named Hacked System, integrates elements from the most iconic licenses in the video game universe. This week, it's Kingdom Hearts, the iconic license from Square Enix, that is in the spotlight. 

Hard to stay a heartless

Even if darkness was starting to overwhelm you, this week's announcement from Epic Games is so full of joy that it can transform any heartless. As you guessed, the Kingdom Hearts license crosses paths with Fortnite today. More precisely, players can find Sora and his friends to face the darkness in Epic Games' game. For this, they can equip the Kingdom Key. In addition to dealing damage during melee combos, it allows you to strike opponents with lightning. As a bonus, you can try to recover a sea-salt ice cream. This last one allows you to recover some of your HP and boost your shield. 

The Hacked System season, in addition to paying tribute to the greatest names in video games, introduces a system of hacks. The partnership between Square Enix and Epic Games adds two new hacks. The first, Recovery Override, spawns healing orbs as soon as you eliminate an opponent, with any weapon. The second, Level Up Override, grants a mythical Kingdom Key to each section member at their current location. For those interested, the development studio will host two "power hours" sessions. Thus, on September 19 from 2 to 4 PM and 9 to 11 PM, everyone joining the party will start the game with a Kingdom Key and a sea-salt ice cream. Thus, only skill will determine who are the best players. 

Finally, all fans of the Kingdom Hearts license can head to the game store to pick up some outfits and accessories. You can dress up as Sora, Riku, Kairi, or even Roxas. A back accessory and a pickaxe are provided with each outfit and, as often, they also come with the corresponding LEGO version. A little extra, to make yourself comfortable, consider opting for the right look by putting on the Shadow Steppers Kicks. For those unfamiliar with the Kingdom Hearts license, note that it was born in 2002 on PlayStation 2. It is overseen by the great Tetsuya Nomura and features characters from Disney and Pixar universes, not to mention the presence of characters from the Final Fantasy saga. Currently, everyone is waiting for next year to discover the continuation of the adventures in Kingdom Hearts IV, an opus that will notably add a world based on the universe of Coco.
