Hoist the Jolly Roger, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is available

Last March, Jean Guesdon, the content manager at Ubisoft, provided an update on the projects related to the Assassin's Creed franchise. While he certainly discussed the future of the recent Assassin's Creed Shadows and touched upon the major titles coming in the next few months, he also officially announced the development of a remake of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag. This installment was not chosen at random as it is clearly among the fans' favorite entries of the franchise. The following month, the publisher presented the new features of this remake named Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. The release was then set for July 9, which is today. To accompany it, Ubisoft unveils the traditional launch trailer. 

Look at the Horizon, Island in Sight

Close your eyes, listen to the sound of the sea, hear the pirates' songs, feel the sea breeze. There's a sense of adventure in the air... And for good reason, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has just anchored on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, in addition to being part of Ubisoft+. Nearly 13 years after the release of the original installment, fans of the franchise can dive back into the Golden Age of Piracy as Edward Kenway. As for newcomers, this remake offers a golden opportunity to discover this adventure that leads to sailing the Caribbean waters and meeting legends of the pirate universe, including Anne Bonny, Blackbeard, and Calico Jack. 

To properly accompany the launch of this new version, created with the Anvil engine for a visually pleasing result, Ubisoft has unearthed a treasure to bring it up to date. Indeed, the publisher has prepared a "resynced" version of the AC IV Black Flag trailer that was presented at E3 2013. They didn't do things halfway as they enlisted the artists who worked in 2013 to offer this new version of the Horizon trailer. Enough to highlight all the work done on the visuals to charm players. The cherry on top is that the trailer retains the music from the original version, namely the song "Full Circle" by Half Moon. Nostalgia guaranteed! 

Speaking of the soundtrack, let's note that in addition to Brian Tyler's original music, Resynced includes 22 new tracks by Stephen Lukach. Let's not forget that Woodkid collaborated on the project to offer a reworked version of the famous song "Leave her Johnny". Music lovers will be thrilled. Besides the presentation, Ubisoft Singapore (the main development studio supported by several other internal studios) has also revised several elements of the game. Thus, it features new narrative content, naval battles with enhanced mechanics, a revised combat system, and several gameplay improvements in stealth and parkour. In other words, the publisher aimed to offer the best version to date of AC Black Flag to allow everyone to (re)discover this superb adventure.
