For its Season 3, Fortnite Festival highlights Billie Eilish
During the launch of the Fortnite Festival, a musical experience integrated into Fortnite and developed by Harmonix in collaboration with Epic Games, one artist was highlighted: The Weeknd. Since then, the developers seem to have taken a pattern, namely a new season, a new artist. After Season 2 which featured Lady Gaga, the Queen of Pop, the festival is starting its third season, available until June 13. This time, the award-winning artist Billie Eilish is in the spotlight.
The free way to spend nothing
As always, a new season means a new Festival Pass. As usual, there are two paths to explore, the free and the paid. In both cases, there are eleven rewards to unlock, totaling twenty-two by combining both paths. What are the standout elements that can be obtained without spending anything? The flagship element, the eleventh one, which is obtained by completing all the quests, is the Basalt Bass. This atypical bass mixes basalt with still boiling lava, all aimed at setting the stage on fire.
Two new auras, Heartbeat and Snowy Tempo, can also be unlocked, as well as the emote A Little Spin. Finally, due to the musical nature of the game, four new music tracks can also be obtained through this path. Three of them are signed by Epic Games, namely Change, Silly Bros, and Sweet Victory. By the way, the latter could be purchased on Fortnite as a lobby music. If that is the case, the concerned individuals will be refunded the amount of V-bucks invested to acquire it. As for the fourth track, it's Runaway by the band WitchGang.
A few V-bucks and the bonus path is yours
If you want to obtain the eleven additional rewards of the bonus path, you need to part with 1800 V-bucks. Once this is done, before completing the quests and obtaining the additional elements, you automatically unlock the Billie with Green Roots outfit. This can adopt the Ultraviolet style (exclusive to this Season 3, so inaccessible later via the shop), at least if you complete the bonus path to acquire this ultimate music-reactive element.
Otherwise, among the elements to unlock, there is the presence of the Burial Microphone and the Sleeper Keyboard keytar. Of course, it's also an opportunity to enrich the tracklist with four new titles, including Oxytocin from the star of this season. The three other tracks are Maps by Maroon 5, Friday I'm in Love by The Cure, and Youngblood by 5 Seconds of Summer. If you want to complete the set, a quick visit to the shop will also allow you to get All the Good Girls Go to Hell, Happier Than Ever - Edit, and Therefore I Am, three songs by Billie Eilish.
