The Chapter 6 of Fortnite has just ended, so logically Chapter 7 takes over. This time, Epic Games has gone even bigger by launching players onto the Golden Coast. New places to discover, new possibilities for K-O characters, and many other additions are now available. A little bonus, since the battle bus is out of service, you'll get there by surfing the storm.

Sun, surf, and pop culture

Forget Hollywood and come discover a brand new place: Battlewood. The letters are displayed at the top of the hill, the sun caresses the entire island paradise with its rays. Players have forgotten the bus, taking time to learn to surf. In short, all conditions are met to discover new places. Be careful not to wander too much, in Battle Royale mode, the enemy is never far away and a shot can happen at any moment. Being aware of this, you can already plan your next excursions, whether to the Battlewood Boulevard, Sandy Strip, Wonkeeland, Humble Hills, Bumpy Bay or Classified Canyon. In addition to walking or driving, you can also gain altitude using the hot air balloons available.

Even K.O., the fight continues

Even if you're a sharpshooter or a dodging king, this more or less improbable situation can happen: you're knocked out. To avoid any frustration from leaving the game, the development team has implemented some new features. The first is the introduction of the Reboot Van. Like a true Medic, you can drive to search for knocked-out people to heal them. If you don't want to rely on others, you can always use the Self-Revive Device, provided it's available in your inventory. While deciding on the best solution, Epic Games offers you some possibilities to keep moving. Before someone finishes you off, you can now dodge shots and escape the combat zone by chaining rolls and tumbles. You can also use zip lines, ascent handles, climb onto a car's passenger seat, or even crawl on all fours. In the latter case, if you have enough energy, you can use it to sprint.

Changes in gameplay

Bringing new content is always a big plus to renew the experience. When it affects the gameplay, it's fresh blood directly injected. Epic Games understands this well. The studio has worked on several additions that should raise the adrenaline level. We start with "Defeat the Boss, Be the Boss." In broad terms, you need to track down Human Bill, Hush, and Beach Brutus. If you eliminate them, you win their loot. and the right to embody them. This means that you benefit from their powers. The downside is that by becoming the boss in place of the boss, your position is permanently displayed for nearby opponents.

To spice up the games, rift anomalies come to disrupt them. They notably add loot with powerful effects. The studio has also thought about newcomers. Thus, they can go to the options to enable simple construction. This setting facilitates the learning of construction. It becomes as simple as looking in the desired direction. Finally, several other small adjustments have been made, such as the end of carrying over gold bars from one game to another or the addition of the ability to shoot downwards while jumping.

Kill Bill, Back to the Future, and more

Epic Games and collaborations, it's a great love story. While Chapter 6 notably highlighted the Power Rangers, Chapter 7 focuses on the very popular Kill Bill and Back to the Future licenses. Thus, the new Battle Pass allows you to acquire the appearance of Marty McFly and that of the Bride (aka Beatrix Kiddo). But that's not all, as classics like Miles Cross and Cat Holloway are also back. Another very popular skin, especially known to those who enjoyed Season 3, is part of it. It is the Dark Voyager who arrives in a brand new version.

This is just the beginning

The battle bus is no more but this situation is only temporary. It will return, and much faster than you think. As of December 4th precisely, it will resume service. It is at this time that the Reload mode will make its return with a new map called Surf City. The Blitz Royale mode will also return on the same date. For its part, it will invite players to compete on the map Starfall Island. Competition fans can launch into ranked matches to measure their level against others. Those who want to find Fortnite OG and the Delulu mode will have to be a bit more patient. They will have to wait until December 11th (with the arrival of Season 7) and December 12th respectively.
