Call of DutyOct 9, 20263 min read

The very end of October will be marked by the festivities related to Halloween and the Día de los Muertos. In the video game world, these events are significant enough to be celebrated within several games. Call of Duty: Mobile will not miss out as Season 9 will be dedicated to creatures, thanks to the community that chose the theme. From October 15, you will have to choose your side in the war between Vampires and Werewolves.

Content that bares its fangs influenced by the community

Since last September 10, players of Call of Duty: Mobile have been enjoying Season 8 dedicated to the collaboration with Honkai Impact 3rd, which followed seasons highlighting the Phantom Thieves of Persona 5 Royal or the T-800 and T61000 from Terminator 2. In a few days, it will be time for a change. Season 9 will take over from October 15 to offer new content. This season is quite special as it's the first one shaped by the community's choices. It was indeed the community that opted for the integration of Vampires and Werewolves.

In addition to the theme, which aligns with the upcoming Halloween festivities, the community was able to decide on the design of certain operator skins. So, we must thank the members for the appearance of Minotaur - Pack Commander on the Werewolf side and Sparrowhawk - Moonlight Vengeance for the Vampires. To obtain them, you will need to opt for the Premium Pass, which will also give access to the CX9 - Wolven Moonrise, a submachine gun, and the 3-Line Cantus Rubra Sniper Rifle, a precision rifle. As a bonus, if you want to get your hands on the Grav assault rifle, you will simply need to progress through the Battle Pass. This will ensure you get a weapon firing high-speed projectiles ideal for long-distance engagements.

A new mode, Leader's Kill Confirmed

Bringing fresh blood regularly is the essential condition to keep the community active and to encourage new players to join the experience. In the context of Call of Duty: Mobile, this renewal happens about every month. Besides operator skins and weapon blueprints, the development team ensures to integrate new events and game modes. In this case, Season 9 will allow you to enjoy Leader's Kill Confirmed.

As the name suggests, this is a variant of the classic Kill Confirmed. In this case, a member of each team will be designated as Leader. This involves two points. First, this Leader will be entitled to significant additional equipment, namely a mecha. The downside is that they will be visible to everyone. Second, eliminating a Leader will earn more points. Of course, when one head falls, another will be crowned. Therefore, if the Leader is eliminated, their role will be assigned to another member of their team.

Events dedicated to creatures and the dead

As mentioned, October 31 is marked by Halloween. This particular day also marks the launch of festivities related to Día de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead), a traditional Mexican celebration held from October 31 to November 2. As a result, the development team has planned two events. The first, titled Fang Wars, fully immerses in the theme. The clan war is just beginning, and a choice must be made: join the Vampires or the Werewolves.

The choice is not trivial as it will determine which reward the player will receive by completing missions. In addition to stage rewards, including the operator appearance Purifier - Deadly Nightshade, those who join the Vampires can obtain the sniper rifle SO-14 - Moonlit. As for those who join the furry friends, it will be the assault rifle Type 25 - Lone Wolf that will serve as the ultimate reward.

The second event, aptly named Call of the Dead, will celebrate the Day of the Dead. You will need to collect Howlbones before going to the shop to spend them. If you manage to accumulate 100, you can exchange them for the operator appearance K-9 Unit - Fantasma.
