Godzilla, the most famous of the kaijus, joins the Battle Royale part of Fortnite
To end the year 2024, Fortnite's Battle Royale experience welcomed Season 1 of Chapter 6 offering a Japanese theme. To start the new year off right, the most famous kaiju arrives. Enter Godzilla, who brings Kong in his wake.
Taste the power but you will be hunted
As unbelievable as it may seem, Godzilla arrives today in Fortnite Battle Royale and, as a bonus, he is playable. More specifically, the first person to find a portal can pass through it to take control of this titan. They can then taste his power by trampling other players or by destroying everything in their path with the energy beam. Additionally, by roaring, they can reveal the position of nearby enemies. Of course, others in the game won't let this happen so easily.
They can take up arms to hunt the creature. Being precise is a significant advantage because well-placed shots at Godzilla's weak points tear off fragments that allow recovering 40 HP and obtaining three dash charges, all while dealing additional damage. The one who deals the most damage to the monster will be rewarded, receiving the Godzilla medallion as a gift. This medallion allows dashing, with a maximum of three charges, and playing with an exotic burst quad launcher. Adaptation of outfits for the event
The arrival of Godzilla is significant enough for the developers to take advantage of the event to add a Demon Hunters Battle Pass. Like many passes before it, this one offers the opportunity to unlock several rewards, including a back accessory, a pickaxe, or a glider in line with the theme. But what stands out the most is that you can unlock the evolved Godzilla outfit by completing quests.
Under this name lies a true visual evolution of the outfit as it starts to shine after an elimination. The illumination intensifies with each new opponent eliminated. If you manage to complete all the quests, you also receive the energized Godzilla style associated with the evolved Godzilla outfit. Don't take too long, you have until February 21 to finish them all.
Finally, the developers have not forgotten Kong, who makes his appearance in the shop. More precisely, his outfit is included in the Mechagodzilla and Kong pack, which also allows you to obtain the Mechagodzilla outfit that lights up when attacking opponents. Note that both outfits can also be purchased individually. The pack also contains two pickaxes, two back blings, two wraps, and the B.E.A.S.T. Hand emote.
