Runners, Chapter 7 Season 3 of Fortnite, adds its share of new features

Chapter 7 of Fortnite continues with the arrival of Season 3. After enjoying the characters from the Overwatch license as part of Act III of Season 2, players are invited to discover a new collaboration. This time, John Wick is in the spotlight. Additionally, everyone will be invited to discover the new Shattered Coast map. Beware, the Spirits are back...

Spirit... spirit, are you there?

If you know Fortnite well, then you won't be surprised by the return of the Spirits system. These were first introduced in the first season of Chapter 6. They managed to impress players enough to return in the Runners update. For those unfamiliar with the system, note that spirits are collectible elements. You must first locate and extract them. Each spirit has a special ability that can be transferred to your character. Previously, they granted a temporary bonus activated during the current game. Now, they have a more persistent effect as their ability can be activated in subsequent games.

Thus, besides the rare spirits that "can completely change the course of a game," as Epic Games points out, there are spirits that allow you to surround yourself with a shield, become temporarily invisible, or gain a powerful damage bonus. You thus understand the need to hunt them as they can clearly disrupt the balance of power. To better integrate this game mechanic, the development studio has revised familiar points of interest before integrating them into a brand new map called the Shattered Coast. This one will be released mid-chapter.

Don't touch the dog, you would regret it

As usual, Epic Games accompanies this new season with a new Battle Pass. If you get it before June 14, you will be entitled to a bonus, namely the Golden Huntress Dylan outfit and its accessories. Additionally, you instantly unlock the Guardian outfit. For this, you just need to spend 800 V-bucks or obtain it through the Fortnite Club. Of course, the principle of the Pass is to encourage players to launch games over and over again to progress through the levels by achieving certain objectives.

Why? To earn bonus rewards. Among those of this new season, there is the sketched version of John Wick, his dog, black cubic sneakers, and even new outfits, like those of Cluster, PJ Heatwave, and Wolfe. The cherry on top is that our dear hitman, portrayed by a masterful Keanu Reeves in the films, can use his favorite gun. This gun joins the available arsenal this season, alongside the heavy assault rifle of the Dark Voyager.
