A little less than nine years after its early access launch, the cooperative Save the World mode is now accessible for free. If it hasn't been done yet, players can now discover this cooperative experience grouping up to four people with the aim of surviving waves of enemies. The bonus is that Save the World is also available on Nintendo Switch 2, and this for the very first time.

The strength of cooperation

Storm warning in the Fortnite universe, as planned, the cooperative campaign up to four Save the World is now accessible in free-to-play. In other words, no need to pay to face waves of enemies alone or with friends, build and protect your base, save survivors, and of course prevent the world from falling into chaos. Now, you can access it without spending a single euro, on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, via the Cloud, and even on Nintendo Switch 2. You can thus leave the Battle Royale for a few moments to dive into a shooting and survival experience that strengthens bonds, at least if you agree to share it with other players.

To help you get started, Epic Games has prepared a trailer of more than three minutes that provides the context of the scenario of this campaign, not without some humorous touches. While 98% of the population has disappeared in an instant, and a strange storm hits the world, your fight is just beginning. Creatures attack you, forcing you to fight for your survival. So take up arms, materials, and do your best to eradicate the threats. Because everyone has their specialty, you can choose your hero's class.

Will you choose the Adventurer who isn't afraid of danger, to the point of facing it head-on? Will you be tempted by the Ninja and his devastating aerial attacks when he doesn't slice multiple enemies at once with his blade? Will you prefer the Constructor who uses his knowledge and manual skills to transform a few elements into a shield or who uses turrets like no one else? Or will you choose the Soldier, a formidable heavily armed character who shoots first and asks questions later? In any case, the mission remains the same: Save the World (as the name of the experience suggests).
