Summer is already well underway. Temperatures are rising, and the call of the beach is felt. On this occasion, Gotham's sirens make their appearance on Fortnite's Battle Royale island. In addition to playing with Catwoman, Harley Queen, Poison Ivy, and Batman in swimsuits, players can discover a new point of interest and more. Step out of your cave, let's take a tour of the new features.

The spirit of Batman roams the island

Weeks pass and Epic Games continues to multiply collaborations with famous franchises, like recently Star Wars and Overwatch. This time, it's some characters from the DC Comics universe that land on the Battle Royale island. We therefore welcome the sirens of Gotham. Summer means outfits adapted to the season. Thus, Batman has traded his black suit for a swimsuit and a towel around his neck. He shows off his summer body while keeping his mask on to preserve his secret identity. He is not the only one wanting to lounge on the island since Catwoman (Coastal), Harley Queen (High Tide), and Poison Ivy (Chlorophyll) are also part of the fun. The four summer versions can be obtained in the shop right now. As a bonus, each is available in its LEGO version and comes with its pickaxe and back accessory.

In addition to the characters, the development team has added some extra new features. If you're looking for a cooler place to avoid constant UV exposure, you can always look for the new point of interest, which is none other than the Batcave. To get there, you can drive Batman's new beach buggy. The Batmobile had to make way for a more suitable vehicle for driving on sand... As for those who want to gain some height, Batman's iconic grappling hook is a must-have. To return to the ground without too much damage, you can deploy the batcape. Moreover, it allows you to find rare spirits more often. Speaking of spirits, Epic Games allows everyone to complete quests to unlock the Batman spirit.

To encourage everyone to discover this content, the development studio has also planned some quest rewards. Among them, fans can obtain a Zap-brella glider, the G'Norts Summer Tote Back Bling accessory, and the Caped Cooler-sader Pickaxe. Finally, a new rift anomaly is disrupting certain matches. More precisely, the battle bus will be sent to a marked location towards the end of the match. Do not underestimate this anomaly because, to win the match, at least one team member must board it before teleportation. Without this, even if you are the last character standing, you lose the game.
