What is great when a new season of Fortnite Festival arrives is that a new artist or group is highlighted. After The Weeknd, Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish, it is the legendary thrash metal band Metallica that is featured in Season 4. Attention, they arrive today as part of the 30.10 update and also integrate into other Fortnite experiences.
A Fortnite Festival event worthy of the band
To accompany the arrival of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo, the four current members of Metallica, the Fortnite Festival welcomes a brand-new permanent game mode. It is the Royale Stage, a player versus player mode allowing 16 people to compete on stage. The goal? Be the last survivor!
As always, when there is a new season, there is a new Festival Pass, with two paths, the free and the bonus. Each path allows unlocking eleven items, for a total of twenty-two for those who explore both. Note that the bonus path has the particularity of allowing the unlocking of the musical track “One” and outfits for James, Kirk, and Robert, knowing that Lars's is automatically unlocked by purchasing the said bonus path. A little extra, the LEGO version is also provided for the LEGO Fortnite experience.

Wait, that's not all. Magnopus has also created an experience called “Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury.” You will be able to enjoy a show highlighting six iconic songs from the band. Be sure to note the appointments because there will only be six, with two on Saturday, June 22, 2024 (at 8 PM and 11 PM CEST) and four on Sunday, June 23, 2024 (at 5 AM, 4 PM, 8 PM, and 11 PM CEST). To ensure you don't miss anything, Epic Games invites you to connect half an hour in advance via the Discover menu. A little extra, as with concerts, it's always more enjoyable to enjoy it with loved ones… So you can invite one, two, or three friends to join you.

Metallica also joins other experiences
The new season of the Fortnite Festival echoes into the universes of other experiences. Thus, those who are active in the Battle Royale section can retrieve the Ride the Lightning guitars from chests or as ground loot. These create an electric arc in the sky. It's up to your teammates to ride it before crashing onto opponents. Additionally, to collect the maximum amount of extra loot, a dedicated island for the band will emerge from a rift. Fans will be delighted to see that its design is inspired by the M72 world tour stage. Finally, on June 18, players can participate in the Metallica Cup to try to win the Bell Tolls emote.
Even though Rocket Racing emphasizes racing before music, the band's riffs will resonate in the racing game. More precisely, the developers will add the Metal Mountain track, which will feature several nods to the band's universe. To navigate it, you can turn up the volume since the background music will be none other than the song "Fuel." Logical when you see the name of the experience! Additionally, by completing quests dedicated to the band, you can unlock the Backfire chassis, the Master of Puppets sticker, and the Chasing Light wheels. The whole set will be available until August 16.
Finally, the item shop is full of elements bearing the band's image. Besides the Master of Puppets outfits for the four musicians, and the LEGO version of each, interested parties can acquire several music tracks, including "Fuel," "Enter Sandman," "Master of Puppets," "Ride the Lightning," "The Unforgiven," and "Wherever I May Roam." The publisher promises that more will be added later.
