One of Fortnite's greatest strengths is its ability to multiply crossovers with the most famous franchises, whether they come from the gaming world, cinematic universes, or television. For example, recently, players have had access to content dedicated to South Park or content specially integrated to celebrate May 4th, a day dedicated to the Star Wars franchise. Today, it's the heroes of Overwatch who join the cast.

Impossible to ignore the Call

Since last March 19, Fortnite players can dive into Season 2 of Chapter 7, more beautifully named Showdown. In this context, the battle between the Foundation and the Ice King is in full swing. The struggle evolves through the deployed acts. For Act III, Epic Games collaborated with Blizzard Entertainment to sign a new crossover. This time, it's the heroes of Overwatch who join the fight. This collaboration is not trivial as it comes as part of the celebration of the franchise's 10th anniversary, with the original title having been released on May 24, 2016.

Thus, Mercy, D.Va, Genji, and Tracer arrive to help fight against the Ice King, trying to tip the balance in favor of the Foundation. In addition to their integration into the Battle Royale mode, they are also present in Zero Build, Reload, and Blitz. The outfits of the four characters have also been added to the shop, with matching accessories. As often, those who acquire them will also have the right to LEGO versions. The little bonus is that the development team has modified fall damage as part of the event. The good news is that they are no longer lethal.

Of course, in addition to the characters, famous locations from the franchise have just appeared on the Battle Royale island. Thus, fans of Blizzard Entertainment's franchise can find the Busan Sanctuary, King's Row Tower, Hanamura Courtyard, and bases inspired by the Watchpoint: Gibraltar. In addition, you can now use Tracer's Pulse Pistols and Mercy's Caduceus. Finally, note that a special event occurs at the King's Row tower. Indeed, during each game, a convoy appears. The mission for players is simple: escort it to its destination. Those who succeed will unlock loot, depending on the chosen side.
