The Pirates of the Caribbean hoist their colors in Fortnite
Playing Fortnite offers the opportunity to discover multiple experiences and regularly enjoy new features. For example, at the end of June, Epic Games launched a brand new mode, aptly named Recharge. Before that, the studio established a partnership to highlight Metallica, the famous trash metal band. This time, the world of piracy is making its way into the Battle Royale part of the game with the arrival of elements from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

In 2003, Johnny Depp portrayed a quirky pirate in a brand new feature film produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Jack Sparrow, the name of his character, would become an iconic figure in the world of piracy, and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise would leave a lasting impression, leading to four more films by 2017. While waiting for the franchise to return to the spotlight, fans can experience it through Fortnite. Indeed, Epic Games has partnered with Disney to integrate several elements of the franchise into the game's Battle Royale mode.
Hoist the mainsail, Jack Sparrow and his crew have just landed as part of the 30.20 update, more beautifully named Cursed Sails. The event of the same name will be accessible until August 6. So don't waste any time and grab the oars now! A new event means quests and rewards to unlock. This collaboration is no exception, as players will need to complete several quests, which will allow them to collect cursed coins and thus progress within the two-path Cursed Sails Pass.
As always, the free path will allow you to unlock eleven rewards, including Jack Sparrow's Sabers pickaxe. To obtain the bonus path, you'll need to part with some of your loot. Specifically, you'll need to spend 1000 V-bucks. In return, several additional rewards will become accessible. Upon purchase, the Jack Sparrow outfit will be unlocked. By completing the bonus path, you'll also obtain the Cursed Jack Sparrow outfit. In both cases, you'll also unlock the LEGO version to enjoy in LEGO Fortnite and on LEGO islands.
Move while listening to the sound of water
Forget the action and the furious aspect of the desert from Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, known as Unleashed , with the event of the Cursed Sails you will discover a different way to move around. In the pirate universe, you will find ships. More precisely, you will need to look for ships in bottles hidden in chests present on certain ships in Shipwreck Shallows. Find the right object and you will make a real cursed ship appear. That's not all since two items have been reintroduced for the occasion. These are the pirate cannon allowing a player (or yourself) to be propelled over a long distance… and the treasure map. No need to explain how it works, just find the cross! Who knows, you might have the chance to obtain the flintlock pistol which is also making a big comeback.
A loot is made to be spent
You may not have noticed, but pirates have recently infiltrated the item shop. So, those who wish can purchase the outfits of three famous characters from the universe. We are of course talking about Elizabeth Swann (accompanied by a back accessory and a pickaxe), Captain Barbossa (with his Sword pickaxe), and Davy Jones (with his Baby Kraken back accessory and his pickaxe). Of course, like what is done for the two Jack Sparrow outfits, each of these three characters has the right to their LEGO version.
