Star Wars is intertwined with all Fortnite experiences

Fortnite Star Wars
FortniteMay 4, 20243 min read

When it comes to establishing partnerships to add licensed content to Fortnite, Epic Games has mastered the subject. In recent months, we have been able to enjoy additions around the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or even Avatar: The Last Airbender. If we go back a little further, we can even find content related to Star Wars, with the integration of the hologram of Ahsoka Tano granting her Jedi technique and a white lightsaber to players interacting with her. If the theme is addressed, it is not done innocently. Indeed, May 4th is a very special date for fans of the Star Wars franchise, it's the "May the 4th be with you." The American studio had to make a mark. Their reaction? Star Wars content in all Fortnite experiences with update 29.40!

Building the Rebellion

The Galactic Empire is a constant threat. As a member of the Rebellion, you dream of building your own little haven of peace. Since the enemies do not intend to leave you alone, while you build your rebel village brick by brick on the Star Wars island, you can use some weapons to defend yourself, including the famous lightsabers. To raise the village to level 10, you will need to complete some quests, at least that's what a famous Jedi Master might have said. It's up to you to progress in the associated Pass and unlock various elements detailed on the license blog.

A Hairy Character in Battle Royale

Who says hair, says wookiee. And one of the most famous among them is undoubtedly the co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon, namely Chewbacca. Unfortunately, he is held prisoner in an imperial blockade that is modified with each new game. It is up to you to find him and set him free! In exchange, you will obtain a wookiee laser crossbow, at least if you don't already get one in one of the imperial chests scattered around the blockades.

The crossbow is not the only weapon to use since Darth Vader's lightsaber makes its big return. Be careful though, you must first defeat him. Likewise, if you eliminate Stormtroopers, you can recover their E-11 blaster rifles. Finally, as always, a Battle Pass is part of the game. By completing quests, you will progress in it. With five quests, you gain a level, with double, you unlock the Imperial Grenade Carrier to attach to your back. You have until May 14th, after that it will be too late.

The Festival sets its bags on Tatooine

Whether it's to listen to music or set the stage on fire, the Fortnite Festival experience is made for you. For this period under the Star Wars theme, the improv stage hosts an area inspired by the Mos Eisley Cantina located on Tatooine. Again, it's about increasing the Battle Pass by completing four quests and unlocking a reward by reaching ten. For those who succeed, they will unlock the Hallikset seven-string guitar famous on Naboo.

Are you on team Anakin or Dark Maul?

The Rocket Racing experience is not forgotten. Even those who prefer vehicles will get their Star Wars fix, with Anakin's Podracer sticker to unlock by completing four quests and Dark Maul's by doubling the effort. If you push to fourteen completed quests, then you unlock the Induction Connectors trail.

In the shop, the Force to spend you will find

Finally, beyond everything that can be unlocked within the quests and Passes, it is possible to go to the Shop to treat yourself to some items, starting with the Dagobah Luke, Lando Calrissian, and Advanced Trooper outfits, in both classic and LEGO versions. Note that the Boba Fett, Han Solo, Imperial Stormtrooper, Leia Organa, Finn, Kylo Ren, Rey, Sith Trooper, and Zorri Bliss outfits are back. On the Rocket Racing side, the Beskar car chassis is featured, while on the Fortnite Festival side, the Cantina Band music track (aka Mad About Me) is logically available.
