Assassin's Creed Mirage will take you to the Valley of Memory

Assassin’s Creed Mirage vous conduira à la Vallée des souvenirs
Assassin's CreedOct 6, 20253 min read

Even though all eyes are on the recent Assassin's Creed Shadows released last March, the title continues to have exemplary follow-up as evidenced by this roadmap, we must not forget the previous iteration. To celebrate the two-year existence of Assassin's Creed Mirage, a highly appreciated title as we indicated in the columns of the Metropolis Chronicle, Ubisoft unveils the content of the next DLC. The latter will be called Valley of Memory or, in French, Vallée des souvenirs.

This is not a Mirage: the follow-up continues

If Assassin's Creed Shadows crystallizes the attention of players in recent months, it's because the title was highly anticipated by the community. And for good reason, the game takes place in Japan, a destination strongly requested since the existence of the franchise. Nonetheless, Assassin's Creed Mirage continues its journey. The game occasionally receives updates, such as the addition of permanent death last year. A few months later, Ubisoft even offered a pocket version aimed at Apple devices to further expand the audience.

Ubisoft is committed to AC Mirage, especially since the title allowed a return to the origins of the franchise. To prevent it from gathering dust among those who have already completed the adventure and enjoyed the additional content, the studio will offer a new free extension. Needless to say, you will be able to relaunch it since Valley of Memory will add up to 6 hours of additional gameplay and story. We do not wish to spoil those who have not yet experienced this Mirage, so we will simply indicate that the new narrative arc will take place a little before the end of the main story. Basim will have to go to al-'Ula (a 9th-century version) to verify the foundation of a rumor that personally affects him.

A gift that will enhance the experience

The content will thus introduce a whole new playground rich in history. Players will be able to discover famous points of interest, such as the necropolis of Hegra or the fortress of Musa Ibn Nusayr. Of course, to keep fans on the edge of their seats, the development team has added several contents to encourage exploration of this new, unique map. Besides the main quest, there will be additional side quests, new contracts, and targets to eliminate. Some little extras will also be added, such as the ability to play the oud by collecting sheets or participate in a variant of the Black Box missions.

Those who enjoy more challenging difficulties can even opt for additional difficulty levels. Among the new features, there's also the integration of the Engineer 2 skill and some modifications added to the parkour system. The latter will offer more freedom for all those who activate the manual jump option. Roof-to-roof movements will also be revised. The goal is to give more flexibility to the system, allowing projections to the side or backward, regardless of the landing point. Finally, let's conclude by sharing with you a video of nearly 8 minutes in which Ubisoft explains how the DLC was designed, while providing some additional insights compared to the announcement teaser. Enough to make you want to fast forward to November 18, the release day of this downloadable content.
