Bandle Tale, a new game in the LoL universe

Bandle Tale
League of LegendsFeb 23, 20242 min read

To expand the universe of League of Legends, beyond updates to the main game, like the deployment of the patch 14.4 which updates Rek'Sai's kit and improves champions like Illaoi, Fora, and Bard, Riot Forge Games is working with studios from around the world to develop new games. Thus, between 2020 and 2023, titles like Legends of Runeterra, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and games like Ruined King, Mageseeker, Conv/rgence, and Song of Nunu (mentioned in our Metropolis Chronicle), grouped within the A League of Legends Story franchise, have come to life. On February 21, a new A LoL Story experience is to be discovered: Bandle Tale.

An RPG focused on crafting for PC and Nintendo Switch

For this new A LoL Story game, Riot Forge collaborated with Lazy Bear Games, a studio known for its work on games like Punch Club, Graveyard Keeper, and Swag and Sorcery. Players will step into the shoes of a yordle living on the Isle of Maille, a place that highlights the passion for knitting. Unfortunately, during a festival, events go awry and the portals connecting the Bandle Isles begin to malfunction.

To save Bandle and its inhabitants, there is no choice but to roll up your sleeves and set out to gather resources (seeds, fish, etc.), craft items, and organize festivals. During their quests, players will meet famous champions from the universe of League of Legends, including Teemo, Tristana, and Veigar. Everyone playing on PC and Nintendo Switch can enjoy this relaxed adventure which, despite the urgency of the situation, promises pressure-free progression.
