In the first-person shooter sector, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which was recently made official, will have some competition. Indeed, Electronic Arts has just unveiled Battlefield 6, the new installment that will allow players to immerse themselves in a modern war. Trailer, estimated release date, supported platforms, let's take stock.

An adventure that promises to be explosive

“Our protection, your peace,” is the motto of Pax Armata, the largest private military company in the world. It has a clear objective that it intends to achieve: to destroy NATO and its allies. It is in this context that players will step into the shoes of soldiers to fight against this organization and discover the ultimate total war experience. As the President states, for the militia soldiers, “it’s over.” Battlefield 6 will incorporate all the elements that make the franchise special, starting with refined visuals, the ability to fight on foot or using vehicles, and the ability to destroy many elements for a spectacular result.

The unveiled trailer emphasizes this aspect, showing impressive destructions generated by the new building destruction system. Additionally, we can observe battles taking place both on land and in the air. Forget the future and dive into the present to anchor yourself in a modern war that will have its own solo campaign. Multiplayer will not be left out, but it will be presented next July 31 at 8:30 PM sharp. Without saying too much, the publisher already announces that Battlefield 6's multiplayer will be the “most ambitious in the series' history.” We can expect impressive maps and several game modes.

While waiting to discover all this, Electronic Arts specifies that this new installment will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. We will indeed have the right to a next-generation experience designed for current machines. The American company has not yet officially announced the release date, but everything suggests that the game will arrive in the fall.
