Let's go for the first phase of Season 2 of Battlefield 6

Battlefield 6, it was the promise of a return to the roots. After a beta that allowed players to make their first moves, Electronic Arts released the final version on October 10, 2025, accompanied by REDSEC, a Battle Royale-oriented multiplayer mode. This release marked the end of the wait but also and above all the beginning of the experience that continues to renew itself thanks to seasonal content. Let's discover what awaits us in the framework of Season 2 deployed today.

A season in several phases starting with a Contamination

Helmet on the head, vest on the chest, weapon in hand... Soldiers, be ready to engage in new confrontations. Season 2 of Battlefield 6 starts, dropping operators on two new maps located in Europe. The first, named Contamination, has just been deployed. It represents a forest that was once lush. Unfortunately, the use of experimental weapons has somewhat altered the landscape, not to mention various bombings. The second, Hagental Base, will be integrated next month as part of Phase 2. It will take players into a military facility. 

For now, everyone is invited to take part in Extreme Measures, the name of this Phase 1. Besides the Contamination map mentioned above, it allows participation in a limited-time experience. VL-7, as it's called, adds smoke clouds at certain key areas of the map. The subtlety is that the smoke contains a psychoactive substance that generates hallucinations. Steadiness will therefore be essential to adapt to the situation by trying to determine what is real from what is not. 

Then, from March 17, players will discover Phase 2 of the season. Named Twilight, it will allow the discovery of the Hagental Base map. This one will focus on stealth through the deployment of a limited-time mode plunging the map into darkness. To navigate, players will need to equip night vision goggles and other gadgets to gain a tactical advantage. 

Finally, Season 2 will end on April 17 with Phase 3. Ultimate Hunt, as it will be called, will add a new limited-time mode inspired by the Operations mode of Battlefield 1. Without giving too many details, the publisher indicates that it will offer a larger-scale, more cinematic experience, on the two new maps introduced with this Season 2. Of course, other new features are part of it, starting with three new weapons and two new gadgets. Fans of the franchise will be delighted to see that the AH-6 Little Bird helicopter is making a grand return.
