The multiplayer of Black Ops 6 ready to fill up with maps
Players of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, get ready to discover 4 new maps as part of Season 5. The first one, Runway, is a medium-sized map designed for 6v6 battles. It will transport you to the Arzak airport. It has been somewhat deteriorated, which explains the presence of thick black smoke escaping from the control tower, flames on each side of the terminal, and various debris littering the ground. The battles on the tarmac are already set to be tense, with everyone trying to find their way amidst this chaos, especially since a plane, in pieces, is part of it.
The second one, Exchange, is a small map with a fairly classic structure. One path on the side, another on the other, and a central one, these are the three main paths you can take. However, be careful, to spice up the games, the two lateral paths have a shortcut to the center of the map halfway through. The threat looming over the center of the map is therefore total. As for the ambiance, expect to go through the Avalon market composed of several stalls, including the traditional ones: grocery, bar, greengrocer, fishmonger, and butcher. In other words, you will have just as many counters that will allow you to take cover... Which doesn’t mean you should camp. Finally, note that it will allow for 6v6 and also 2v2 battles.
The third one, still planned to accompany the launch of this new season, is World Motor Dynasty. To go faster, you can simply call it W.M.D. If this acronym rings a bell, it’s because the map appeared in the first Black Ops and was also added to Black Ops IV and Black Ops Cold War. Fans of the saga will therefore be delighted to find it in a remastered version. Among the changes, we note a larger play area hosting 6v6 battles and the abandonment of the snowy landscape for a version based on a cloudy day.
Finally, a little later, mid-season, the development team will deploy Jackpot. This medium-sized map will lead operators to the Luttazi Casino. If your memory serves you well, this might remind you of the “Casino” map from Black Ops 4... And for good reason, Beenox was inspired by it. However, while some basic elements have been retained, the studio has modified many others, starting with the artistic direction to be more in line with the “Grand Gambler” mission of Black Ops 6.

Several modes are coming to bring some new blood
Activision knows that to maintain an active community, it is not enough to rest on one's laurels. It is necessary to regularly inject new blood. These new features add spice and allow the gameplay to be exploited in another way. In addition to the maps already mentioned, several game modes will be part of this new season. From August 7, players will be able to dive into Aim High. As the name suggests, this will require aiming for the head, which will allow eliminating opponents with a single bullet. To encourage everyone to play along, the rest of the body will be protected by full armor. In other words, aiming at the torso, arms, pelvis, or legs will inflict only minor damage. So, the rule will be simple, aim high. As an indication, this mode will act as a modifier applicable to several game modes, including Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Confirmed Kill.
Then, before mid-season, two other modes will make their grand return, namely Snipers Only (which needs no explanation) and Enraged Moshpit. For the latter, in broad strokes, you need to eliminate opponents to gain speed bonuses. Additionally, each elimination affects a countdown for a bomb. Finally, mid-season, the development team will offer an “Enraged” variant of the Demolition mode and ensure the return of Heist (the goal is to retrieve gold bars to secure in your team's deposit box) and Gunfight Blueprints (a variant of the Gunfight mode integrating new weapon blueprints). The icing on the cake, the Combat Bow scorestreak returns. Rambo and Robin Hood better watch out, your operator will shoot explosive-tipped arrows to deal maximum damage.

The hunt for Zombies continues
A classic staple of the Black Ops series, the Zombies mode has its own fanbase. To be honest, it's always enjoyable to play a few rounds. Moreover, since everything is scripted, curiosity takes over and encourages exploring new adventures. In the next chapter, you'll have to try to stabilize the ether reactors of the Janus Towers. Some familiar faces will, of course, be part of the adventure, starting with Peck, Ravenov, and Strauss. This definitely calls for a new map. In this case, it's Reckoning, a map that sets the tone right from the entrance hall. The towers have suffered significant damage, so improvisation will be necessary to access certain rooms.
However, be cautious, as a new enemy is on the prowl. Super Klaus, as it's called, is "a murderous automaton encased in a reinforced and massive exoskeleton." In other words, the enemy will be extremely powerful. It would be wise to avoid a hand-to-hand combat that's doomed to fail. Cunning will be your ally to destroy the armor... Then, the automaton will take over. It's up to you to revise your strategy to combat this form that gains agility as it loses defense, or almost, as its Tesla coil shield remains effective against certain attacks. Other surprises are expected on the bestiary side, including robots designed to self-destruct upon contact with the enemy, appearing after the release of a red mist, and employees turned into zombies.
Fortunately, to help you fight against these new threats, you can seize the Gorgofex. Behind this name lies a bio-etheric weapon. With its very organic look, it will appeal to players. But that's not all, as it should prove quite useful. Indeed, it fires an energy bullet that acts in three stages. First, it inflicts localized damage, then the energy dissipates to deal damage over a large area, and finally, enemies are immobilized and float in the air due to a temporary gravitational anomaly. Other additional content will also be available throughout the season.

Everything converges towards the stadium in Warzone
Call of Duty: Warzone will also have its share of new features. For this occasion, Verdansk will be modified with some changes announced as major. Operators will be invited to turn towards the National Acropolis Arena to scout the area in order to prepare a breach into the Stadium. This will allow you to complete the new contract "satellite diversion." This contract, in several stages, requires confirming the existence of a clandestine military base. However, be careful, your window of opportunity is limited. If you want to obtain a special reward, you must absolutely complete it during the first week following the launch of Season 5. After that, it will be too late. In the second week, it will be the Resurgence Stadium mode that will be discovered. For this occasion, the Stadium will be adjusted to facilitate entry. Up to 36 players can compete in Resurgence matches lasting 12 minutes. This promises intense confrontations and rewards worthy of the event.
Next, you will have to wait until mid-season for the implementation of Deadline. Again, this is a limited-time mode. It will host 100 people and mix human players with A.I. bots. To earn points, you will of course need to eliminate opponents, but you can also accumulate them by completing contracts or raiding supply stations. Progress will be made in teams, by circle. A word of advice, don't be in the team that has accumulated the least points... This team will be eliminated. This natural selection process will therefore be applied to each gas circle, knowing that the scores will be reset at the next circle. So, there is no point in accumulating a maximum of points at the beginning of the match thinking that it will keep you safe for the rest. Competitiveness will be reignited at each circle. Finally, the most competitive players can engage in ranked matches in Battle Royale and Resurgence shortly after the launch of the Season. Of course, this implies the implementation of a reward system.
