Call Of Duty: what we already know

Hello everyone, hello to all here, Quill from the Metropolis Chronicle for your gaming news bulletin. Let's take a look at what we know four days before the release of the highly anticipated Call Of Duty Modern Warfare III. Mission starts on November 10th.

Lots of space at Sony

We already know that the software will take up a third of the storage space on PlayStation 5 as the game will require no less than 239.9 gigabytes to install. A figure that may seem extreme compared to other games. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), the publisher spoke about the situation highlighting the increase in the amount of content available on the game's release day.

A "very" prominent promotion

"Fight against the ultimate threat." It is with this message that COD MWIII is announced in a big way on Microsoft's console. There is no doubt that Activision wants its flagship to achieve resounding success, something that is legitimately expected. Since yesterday, several Xbox players are greeted by a promotional message when they turn on their console. And we can say that the developer didn't do things halfway as this is not a banner but indeed a poster that takes up the entire screen with of course the famous "Buy" button to leave nothing to chance. While some are annoyed by this situation, others appreciate the fact that Activision is highlighting its COD MW III. However, it seems that this advertisement, which could be described as "not very subtle," is only visible across the Atlantic.

A short story

According to early feedback, it seems that this new episode is much shorter than previous ones. The number of hours displayed to complete the campaign is relatively low (about 4 hours). Knowing that MW II required no less than 8 hours and that Black Ops III displayed 9 hours on the clock. What is it really? Personally, a "shorter" version doesn't bother me if it includes a real storyline rather than endless and uninteresting gameplay hours. In any case, the publisher's choice may make some people grumble, but let's remember that this is just a (highly anticipated) video game and therefore about enjoyment above all.

Everyone has their version

On the PlayStation side, the game will be released on both consoles, namely the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5. This is not the case on the e Xbox side as a "cross-gen" version will be offered, allowing Xbox One players to enjoy the title. I won't hide my impatience to find this FPS giant, its campaign mode but also and especially its zombie mode. Spending hours shooting undead is something I love! One thing is certain, I will not fail to give you feedback on my gaming experience and my overall impression.

That's all for today, but we'll be back very soon for a new gaming news bulletin. It was Quill wishing you a good day at Metropolis.
