New breath for Fortnite with Avatar: The Last Airbender
Fortnite has such popularity that it allows Epic Games to multiply partnerships to exploit various licenses. Not only does it reignite interest for players already present on the servers, but it also gives new players the opportunity to start the experience. After the integration of Solid Snake or even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it's Avatar, the Last Airbender's turn to join the Battle Royale formula.
New elements to ignite the games
Avatar, the Last Airbender, or Avatar The Last Airbender in the original version, takes advantage of the recent deployment of update 29.20 to integrate Fortnite Battle Royale. Until May 3, players can participate in the Element event. Several quests are to be completed, allowing players to accumulate chi, progress in the Elements Pass, and thus unlock new content. Note that the quests are divided into six chakra quests available as the event progresses.
For example, it is possible to unlock the Dramyin guitar and Sokka's Space Sword using the free path of the Pass, knowing that the latter offers 11 rewards to unlock. To get some additional elements (no pun intended), 11 more precisely, you need to opt for the bonus path. This premium path, to be unlocked in exchange for 1000 V-bucks, rewards those who invest in it by offering them the Aang outfit. To obtain the Aang Avatar outfit, however, you must complete the path. Of course, in both cases, players can enjoy the LEGO version of the outfit. Finally, the shop also welcomes the outfits of Toph Beifong, Zuko, and Katara, with the LEGO versions included as well.
After water, here comes fire, earth, and air
With the Chapter 5 - Season 2: Myths and Mortals, developers have added the use of certain specific powers. These can interfere with Avatar's powers, so they are shelved until the end of the event. This allows focusing on the four elemental powers introduced with the Element event. We do not present the mastery of water since it was introduced earlier in the year with content dedicated to Korra.
In contrast, three other masteries make their appearance. Logically, these are those of earth, fire, and air. The first allows you to throw clumps of earth at opponents or use them to create a barrier. The second allows you to project flames on enemies or trigger an explosion after striking the ground. The third offers the possibility of traveling long distances or propelling oneself into the air. In this last case, it should be noted that the power also carries nearby people.
So how do you use these techniques? There are several ways. Either you open a mastery scroll pedestal in the shrines scattered across the island, or you go hunting for chests when you don't find them on the ground.
