Get ready to discover Azeroth like you've never seen it before. Deathwing returns to burn everything in his path. The phase 2 of the season of discovery is now behind us, and it's time to embark on a new adventure, called Cataclysm Classic, which will take place in two stages.
Prepare for the launch on May 1st
While some people may have had the chance to participate in the closed beta of Cataclysm Classic deployed last month, others are eagerly waiting to see the changes that will be made. Initially, on May 1st, the developers will release a pre-launch update. This will allow certain elements to be implemented. Thus, Goblin/Goblin and Worgen (the cursed people of Gilneas) player-character classes will appear, along with a new profession (archaeology - to explore dig sites) and an additional feature (the collection of transmogrifications).
Of course, the classes will also be updated, as will the characteristics of characters and equipment. Finally, Azeroth will be permanently transformed to reflect Deathwing's passage. The destroyer has done a lot of damage, leaving a destroyed Azeroth. Will you be able to recognize the landscapes of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms? Not sure. In any case, newcomers can explore them to try to level up and reach level 60.
The cataclysm is scheduled for May 21st
Almost three weeks after the deployment of the pre-launch update, Blizzard will be ready to launch Cataclysm Classic. More precisely, starting from May 21st, player characters will be able to attempt to climb levels from level 80 to level 85. To do this, they will have to traverse seven new zones (Mount Hyjal, Vashj'ir, Twilight Highlands, Uldum, Deepholm, Kezan, Gilneas) and explore nine new dungeons (Blackrock Caverns, Throne of the Tides, Vortex Pinnacle, Stonecore, Lost City of the Tol'vir, Halls of Origination, Grim Batol, Deadmines, Shadowfang Keep). But that's not all, as they can go to Tol Barad to discover a PvP battleground or visit Darkmoon Island to learn more about its fair. Finally, among the major new features, we can also mention three new raid dungeons: Throne of the Four Winds, Blackwing Descent, and Bastion of Twilight.
