One week to try Battlefield 6 for free

Visuel promotionnel du free trial de Battlefield 6
Battlefield 6Mar 16, 20262 min read

In the world of FPS (first-person shooter) games, and more specifically war games, the Battlefield franchise invites you to discover a larger-scale version of combat, with a certain attention to realism. Vehicles, destructible environments, encouraged teamplay, the series plays the immersion card. To convince more people to play Battlefield 6, Electronic Arts will set up a one-week trial session.

One week to try it, one week to adopt it

In July 2025, Electronic Arts unveiled the very first trailer for Battlefield 6. A few months later, this new installment was released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S thanks to the Battlefield Studios collective, which includes DICE, Criterion, Ripple Effect, and Motive. Captivating single-player mode, immersive multiplayer mode, consistently impressive destructible environments system, BF6 managed to convince players with a well-crafted return to the roots. While many have already experienced this, others have yet to take the plunge. This is where the trial session comes in, allowing everyone to play it for free. It's an opportunity to discover 6 different multiplayer modes and 4 maps.

Grab your gear, take your weapon, equip yourself with some protection, and go on the offensive between March 17 and 24. You will have a week to test this new installment through three playlists. The first, Nightfall, puts you on the Hagental Base map for team deathmatch, squad deathmatch, and Domination games, all sharing one common feature: darkness. Indeed, this playlist encourages the use of night vision goggles and other accessories to progress and identify enemies when the lights are out.

The second, All-Out Warfare, allows you to enjoy the four maps available in this free trial, namely Mirak Valley, Eastwood (from Season 1), as well as Contamination and Hagental Base, two maps from Season 2. For the occasion, three game modes are included, namely Conquest, the most appreciated mode by fans of the franchise, as well as Breakthrough and the brand-new Expansion mode.

The third, Casual Breakthrough, mainly aims to attract those looking for a lighter experience. In short, those new to the series can get a feel for it with more relaxed games. Thus, the battles are more intimate with "only" eight players per team, for a total of 16 human operators on the map. To add a bit more substance to the confrontations, 32 bots are released onto the battlefield. Of course, they are evenly distributed between the two teams. Note that this playlist provides access to three maps: Hagental Base, Contamination and Eastwood.
