The new Assassin's Creed Shadows patch is deployed: what's changing

There is no shortage of ongoing Assassin's Creed projects. Between Ubisoft Montreal's HEXE code, the multiplayer PvP game Invictus by For Honor veterans, AC Jade, or the remake of AC Black Flag, it is certain that the future of the franchise is bright. Even though Jean Guesdon recently announced the final phase of support for Assassin's Creed Shadows, Ubisoft has not yet set it aside. The proof is in the deployment of the new patch 1.1.10. 

The Art of the Bo

An update is always an opportunity for a development team to bring fixes and improvements to its game. Although Assassin's Creed Shadows has been around for over a year, there are always elements to refine. That's what this new patch allows, which, without going into details, fixes some gameplay-related bugs, minor interface issues, and some problems related to weapons or quests. The downside is that you need to free up some space on your hard drive, as it weighs 3.45 GB for the PlayStation 5 version, 4.4 GB for the Steam version, 5.4 GB for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, 9 GB for the MAC version, and 17.46 GB for the Xbox Series X| version. 

Besides all these contributions that benefit the game's stability and the comfort of everyone, the update also brings some noteworthy elements. The first is the possibility for everyone to obtain a non-legendary Bo, simply by exploring the world. In other words, this means that even those who do not have the Claws of Awaji Expansion are likely to use this weapon. For this, you need to obtain at least one unique Bo. Once this is done, all that's left is to face enemies and retrieve this famous long staff from their bodies. Otherwise, you can also visit merchants or search chests. 

More comfort on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2

Since the launch of the franchise or almost, many people dreamed of an installment set in Japan. Assassin's Creed Shadows has arrived, fulfilling this desire beautifully. The development team has done its best to perfect the visual aspect to maximize the sense of immersion while pleasing the eyes. With the latest generation machines, some tools allow further adjustment of the technical aspect. This patch 1.1.10 precisely integrates PSSR 2 support for those who own a PlayStation 5 Pro. In other words, this technology improves the image quality and performance of the title on Sony's latest console. This promises notably even more magnificent landscapes and lively cities. 

Players enjoying the game on Nintendo Switch 2 also have the right to a most pleasant novelty. Indeed, the update allows adding support for the keyboard and mouse combo. It's optional but always provides more possibilities in how to approach the gameplay. Thus, it's up to each player to choose the configuration that suits them best to fully enjoy the experience.
