This year, on December 1st to be precise, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Despite the years, Ubisoft continues to pamper it by regularly deploying new updates. Of course, the publisher tries to retain the community while encouraging new players to take an interest. To open the license to a wider audience, the French company had worked in concert with Netflix to offer in February 2024 Rainbow Six SMOL, a pocket experience, taking the form of a top-down shooter rogue-lite, exclusive to subscribers of the streaming platform. This time, iOS and Android players can welcome Rainbow Six Mobile, a pocket experience much closer to the original.

Pure Rainbow Six

After several beta test phases, Ubisoft is happy to announce that its Rainbow Six Mobile is now available in France but also in Canada, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia, in addition to the United States. Of course, other countries will be able to access it soon. Unlike SMOL which adapts the license to its own style, exploring another genre, R6 Mobile aims to offer a true pocket Rainbow Six experience. So get ready to discover a tactical first-person shooter. Since it is launched as free-to-play, you have no reason to miss it. Moreover, it is available on both Android and iOS devices. For information, the game is signed by Ubisoft Montreal, a development studio that was supported by Ubisoft associated studios Winnipeg, Halifax, Bucharest, Kiev, and Chengdu.

To retain the authenticity of the franchise, the developers offer 5 vs 5 confrontations where action meets tactical aspects. Of course, the game modes revolve around a traditional idea, namely Attack versus Defense. As usual, the Attackers have a wide arsenal to assault, which includes spy drones to gather information on enemy positions. The Defenders, on the other hand, can use traps to protect themselves, in addition to elements to barricade entries.

A complete experience, with an exclusive

To vary the pleasures, several game modes are available, namely Bomb, Bomb Race, Area Security, and the essential Team Deathmatch. Of course, fans of the license will be on familiar ground since they can find several iconic maps adapted for the occasion, including Bank, Border, Clubhouse, and Oregon. But, to spice up the confrontations by adding a touch of the unknown, a new map exclusive to this Mobile experience is part of it. It is Summit.

On the Agents' side, once again we find part of the series' DNA with the presence of Ash, Mute, Dokkaebi, and more than seventeen others. It is possible to play the competition in Ranked matches, simply enjoy Quick matches, or opt for Private matches to avoid being disturbed by people outside the circle of close ones. The content will evolve, with Ubisoft planning to add several new features each season. Finally, note that a tutorial has been integrated to allow everyone to quickly learn to master the basics.
