The month of February is generally marked by Valentine's Day, a day that highlights love. But it is also the love for Rainbow Six Siege that shines during this period. Once again this year, the Six Invitational takes place, a competition that allows the best teams to shine. It is also an event that gives Ubisoft the opportunity to unveil the roadmap of upcoming new features. With the final phase now within reach, let's take stock.
An event not to be missed
If you play Rainbow Six Siege, you should know that it is possible to qualify as a team for the Six Invitational by earning points in the global ranking. To increase the count, you need to participate in regional leagues, the Rainbow Six Major, or even the Last Chance Qualifiers. This year, it has allowed 20 talented teams to emerge, including G2 and Team Heretics. They have already started competing to prove to the world which one was the most successful this year. After a group stage that eliminated four teams, the qualified ones were able to launch into the arduous Playoffs phase which ended on February 11.
Six teams managed to stand out and are therefore competing between February 13 and 15 for the final phase. No time to breathe, the tournament continues. This time, the teams compete at the Adidas Arena in front of the audience. The goal is clear: lift the hammer! For this final phase, we will see two matches (in Bo3) in the lower Bracket quarterfinals, namely FURIA against Fluxo W7M and Wildcard against Team Secret. The rest, we will discover during the event. The other highly anticipated big confrontation is the upper Bracket final which opposes FaZe Clan to Team Falcons. The victorious team will then be directly qualified for the Grand Final (in Bo5). Of course, all fans are holding their breath and hoping to see the team they support go all the way. While waiting to find out who will win the competition, if you cannot go to Paris to attend in person, you can always follow the broadcasts via the Twitch R6 Esports channel and the Xbox channel.
Finally, it should be noted that in addition to the competition, Ubisoft will take advantage of the event to unveil the content of Year 11. Indeed, R6 Siege celebrated its tenth anniversary last December. The passage of this decade does not mean that the follow-up will stop. Quite the contrary, as the studio has shown, the title has had the right to a major update, involving renaming it Rainbow Six Siege X. This is only the beginning of a new chapter that will continue to write the history of the game. The roadmap that will be unveiled for the occasion will thus give a good preview of what to expect.
A Pop-up Store for the occasion
If you want to gear up before attending the final phase matches... Or if you simply want to show your love for the game, then the Pop-up Store is for you. This temporary store located at 23 Rue du Sentier in Paris (in the 2nd arrondissement) welcomes you until February 15 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. You can notably discover Rainbow Six Siege x Fulllife items, such as the Chalet, Bank, Club House, Oregon, Favelas, and also Skyscraper t-shirts. Finally, collectors can acquire exclusive Rainbow Six Siege x Fulllife products at the pop-up store.
