ID@Xbox - Spotlight on indies with Indie Selects
Sea of Thieves, Halo, Gears of War, Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon, etc., there are strong franchises at Xbox that are regularly highlighted. The same goes for all the games that are part of the Xbox Game Pass (as evidenced by the news on the latest games added), Microsoft's subscription service. However, and this is the beauty of the gaming scene, experiences are not limited to AA and AAA projects. The independent scene offers many productions of different styles and genres. Since 2014, the Redmond firm has been helping independent studios publish their titles on Xbox and PC (under Windows) thanks to ID@Xbox, a program dedicated to them. Now, to help developers gain more visibility while highlighting certain experiences so that players don't miss out, ID@Xbox is launching the Indie Selects program.
Thematic Selections
To discover the collection dedicated to the program, you need to go to the Xbox Store, in the Games section of the Xbox dashboard, or on the community networks. Every Wednesday, the ID@Xbox team will share a new collection with different categories and rotating themes. It starts with the Featured Indies (highlighted independent games), games to play with your cat (like Stray), or independent titles to add to your wishlist.
Favorite Games
In addition, every last week of the month, the team will showcase the "Indie Selects," which are six favorite games that the team is confident will appeal to players. They will essentially have the "seal of approval" from ID@Xbox. In addition to being highlighted in an article on Xbox Wire and in a monthly video published on social networks, the six selected games will receive a digital award featuring the Indie Selects logo. A pride that the studios can then display on their own networks.
