A good month after the deployment of the second phase of Season 2 of Battlefield 6, the Battlefield Studios team wanted to reassure players about the future of the game. 2026 will be marked by new features as evidenced by the roadmap revealed for the occasion. New maps, the return of naval warfare, improvements, etc., the next three seasons will be rich.

Three great seasons ahead
Playing Battlefield 6 means enjoying a modern war game that offers great freedom of action thanks to its vast maps. The battlefield can be approached in different ways, which opens up the possibilities in terms of strategies. Of course, the development team wants to do more and better. The game's support is therefore in full swing. To give a preview of what awaits players between now and the end of the year, the Battlefield Studios team has released the roadmap that takes stock of the upcoming content with Seasons 03, 04, and 05, in addition to the features developed as a priority and the various quality of life updates that will be deployed throughout the year based on community feedback.
With Season 02 soon coming to an end, it is logically Season 03 that will follow, starting in May. This one will introduce two new maps. The first, Train to Golmud, will be the largest map in Battlefield 6. If the preview evokes memories for you, it's normal. It is none other than a reinterpretation of the famous Golmud Railway map from Battlefield 4 located in Tajikistan. The second, Cairo Bazaar, will be a reinterpretation of the Grand Bazaar map from Battlefield 3. This one will be added in the second part of Season 03. Electronic Arts also announces the arrival of ranked matches in REDSEC.
Then, as part of Season 04, players will be able to enjoy two additional maps. The first, Tsuru Reef, should impress everyone. Indeed, it will feature announced gigantic aerial and maritime spaces, making it the largest map in the game upon release. You guessed it, the maritime spaces will not be insignificant as they will mark the return of naval battles. So expect to pilot naval vehicles and find aircraft carriers to land your mechanical birds. A nice non-negligible bonus, the development team worked on a dynamic wave system, which should spice up the naval battles. Finally, Season 05, whose content remains quite mysterious, will close the year with not two but three maps, including a location "that has never been explored in the Battlefield franchise". The bets are open!
