The launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a true success, both critically and commercially. Now that Activision has confirmed it, it's time for the publisher to reassure players about what awaits them so they can continue to enjoy the title while discovering new elements. Maps, operators, game modes, and more, here are all the new features that will be introduced with Season 1 starting November 14, 2024.

Fresh blood to renew the fun
The developers are not joking with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and they are already ready to unleash some great features for Season 1 of the game centered around the character Sevati Dumas. Proof of this, the multiplayer will welcome six maps, including one variant. Starting November 14, we will have access to Hideout, a medium-sized map designed for 6v6 battles. It takes the form of a training center, with an area for target shooting practice and an obstacle course. While the main structure and containers will encourage dynamic close-range combat, the bus area will open up possibilities.
Also at launch, we will have Heirloom, a small map designed for 2v2 and 6v6 battles. It will bring operators into an exhibition of the Luttazzi family art pieces. Not sure you'll have time to appreciate the different artworks on display in detail since the map focuses on fast and dynamic battles. The third and final launch map will be Extraction. Again, we'll find a medium-sized map designed for 6v6 shootouts. The Avalon helipad has been attacked, and operators will find themselves fighting around a helicopter wreck. The beauty of the landscape will contrast with the coldness of the warehouse. Also, be careful not to be surprised by the enemy in the main hall.
For the other maps, you'll have to wait until mid-season. The Hacienda map, which was a highlight of CoD Black Ops 4, will return in a remastered version. It will be an opportunity to (re)discover the vineyard estate, its luxurious interior, or the imposing statue of a lion. It will be accompanied by Racket, a new small map for 2v2 and 6v6 battles that will highlight the premises housing the Luttazzi family's money laundering operations... As well as Nuketown Holiday. This one will also be small, like the original map everyone knows. This variant will have a particularity: it will immerse players in the holiday spirit with snow, decorations, and snowmen that will add a bit of "Christmas magic."
Content that will be trendy
To spice up the experience, developers like to add new modes to introduce new ways of playing. From the launch, you can dive into the Ransack mode. This will require looting crates scattered around the operation area to recover gold bars. They will then need to be secured in your reserve... Which can be attacked by the enemy team. It will therefore be necessary to find the right balance between attack and defense.
Mid-season, the Chameleon mode will be added. Expect a crazy game of hide and seek. Of course, a few other surprises will be deployed for the end-of-year celebrations. Finally, a new Perk and a new point series will be added at the launch of the new season. Mid-season, the developers will raise the stakes by adding an additional Perk and a Wildcard.
Zombies and Warzone are not left out
Treyarch prefers to remain a bit mysterious about the full content coming for the Zombies mode, but the studio has nonetheless announced two important points. The first is the integration of the Dead Citadel map, which will offer a medieval atmosphere. The second is the addition of the directed mode, which will allow completing the experience in 15 rounds, without side quests or S.A.M. challenges.
On the Warzone side, it is mainly an opportunity to fully integrate the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 experience, from omnidirectional movements to the arsenal, through a simplified inventory and the return of classic Prestiges. However, the big anticipation is the new Resurgence map, namely Area 99. As its name suggests, this will allow exploring Area 99 located in the Nevada desert.
