The date is certainly marked in bold and large in the agendas, but we can remind it once more: it is indeed on October 25 that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be released. Before the official release, several steps will be taken, including the setup of early access starting on August 30, which will be followed by an open beta session. But the plan is more important than that, as evidenced by the recently leaked roadmap.
Summer tidying up, we're reorganizing everything
This August 21 will be marked by the arrival of the Season 5 Reloaded of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, which will also impact other Call of Duty experiences, including Warzone. Developers will take the opportunity to deploy a significant update aimed at reorganizing game files.
Do not be afraid to make space on your hard drive, Activision warns, this update will be substantial, at least while it operates the reorganization. Afterwards, the footprint will decrease precisely thanks to file optimization. Despite everything, it should not be overlooked since this update will prepare the ground for everything that is to come, and it will help reduce the size of subsequent updates. Firstly, it can be noted that CoD Warzone will gain independence. After the update, it can be downloaded independently of other games. Thus, everyone will be able to better control the installed content.
Still with this idea of reducing file size, developers will add new tools to extend the use of texture streaming. More specifically, this will involve setting up a cache that will accumulate textures to display as needed. This will save space for the textures that are less frequently used. Of course, a configurable option will allow you to adjust this to avoid the discomfort of display lag. In short, the "On-demand texture streaming" setting will become "High-quality on-demand streaming". This will introduce two options, Optimized or Minimal. The first will consume more bandwidth for a visually more satisfying result, while the second will focus on performance by reducing the use of said bandwidth.

For the menu, we simplify!
A few days before the official release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the developers will deploy a new interface to enhance the user experience. Details will be communicated later, but we have the promise of a simplified menu and improved navigation. With the multiplication of titles, it can be difficult to find your way. Therefore, to gain visibility, the homepage will highlight the latest game in the franchise and the Warzone experience. Other titles will be relegated to the library with a quick access to “Last Game” to launch the last Call of Duty you played. Each title in the franchise will have its own interface. For Black Ops 6, the preview will arrive very soon, during early access. A small bonus, even if the date is hidden, Season 1 of Black Ops 6 will indeed start after the game's release.
