Call of Duty Mobile deploys Wings of Vengeance for its Season 1
The end of 2024 was very eventful for Call of Duty Mobile as the title welcomed back-to-back Season 10, which aimed to celebrate its fifth anniversary, and Season 11, which added various winter-themed content. To start 2025 off right, the counter resets to zero or almost. Starting today, players of the mobile experience can discover Season 1 called Wings of Vengeance. An evocative title linked to the celebration of the Chinese New Year.
Content that sneaks like a snake
2025 starts very well for CoD Mobile fans as this new Season adds no less than three new game modes. The first one, Race, requires participating alone or with others in a parkour-type race. It introduces a new virtual map inspired by the theme of the year of the snake. Players must face many obstacles, knowing that several difficulty levels are available to adjust the experience. Of course, by crossing the finish line first, you will receive rewards.
The second is called Carnival Contest. The main objective is to use an assortment of firearms and melee weapons to destroy targets of different sizes. Matches are played 5 against 5, knowing that the main weapons do not deal damage to enemies. However, you can cause them damage using operator skills. Moreover, buffs will appear at various locations on the map to offer an advantage to those who collect them. A small note and not the least, matches are spiced up thanks to a subtlety: several players are teleported at regular intervals to the other side of the map to sow chaos before returning to their team.
Finally, the third mode is none other than Tank Battle. This one has a sufficiently explicit name. Players are launched onto a new Ground War map to face off 8 against 8 in tanks. Again, it is possible to go collect buffs to enjoy some advantages during the battle. For precision, it is possible to choose between two tanks before entering the confrontation.
Rewards, again and always
The most diligent individuals are generously rewarded by the developers through Secret Caches. Nevertheless, they are going even further by revisiting the Challenge HQ to offer short, medium, and long-term challenges. Thus, by playing regularly over the long term, fans will be able to unlock special items, such as the Stun Baton, a legendary melee weapon, or the mythical AK117 - Lava Remix.
Of course, a new season inevitably introduces a new Battle Pass. This one is no exception to the rule, adding as always two paths, the free and the premium. Within the first, in addition to skins and weapon blueprints, there is the possibility to obtain the XM4 assault rifle or the Control operator skill which allows for faster health recovery for the operator and teammates, while preventing enemies from regenerating theirs.
On the Premium path, several skins are available, both for weapons and characters. For the latter, you can obtain Lustre - Jingwei, Kryptis - Wrought, Seraph - Immortal Python, or Anna - Adamantine. For the rest, you need to visit the in-game store to get some additional content, starting with the new mythical skin for Sophia. Besides her stunning black armor, she can achieve redemption by deploying transparent wings on her back.
Finally, note that two themed events are planned for this season. The current one is themed around the Year of the Snake, celebrating the Lunar New Year, while the second will launch in mid-February. Some have already guessed it, it will accompany February 14th, a day known to be Valentine's Day or the celebration of love.
