Call of Duty Season 3
Call of DutyApr 3, 20246 min read

Time flies, too fast. The Fulllife Universe celebrates the arrival of Season 3... But it's not the only one. Indeed, after a busy and reloaded Season 2 with mid-season content, Activision is ready to strike again with Season 3 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Since all three games are interconnected, it makes sense that the new season affects all three experiences. Moreover, if you haven't seen it yet, we invite you to read our tips for getting started on the new CoD Warzone Mobile.

A massive drop!

Regardless of the platform or game version you access the experience through, the keyword is simple: content. New maps, events, additional game modes, new features, new contracts, weapons, operators, perks, equipment, spare parts, etc. There's a lot of content to sink your teeth into, whether right now or coming mid-season. The roadmap provides a nice preview of the new features, but we will go over the main ones in the lines that follow.

Enough to reshuffle the cards...

It's not one, not two, not three new maps that will land during this season, but seven, including two created in collaboration with the Beenox studio. As of now, players can enjoy 6 Star, a standard 6v6 medium-sized map, and Emergency, a standard 6v6 small-sized map. These are the two new additions that respectively bring the universe of a luxurious complex located in Dubai and that of a medical establishment located in Arizona. The third new addition now available is the medium-sized map Tanked, still for 6v6 battles, which takes players to the Vondel zoo for fights on a medium-sized map. This one is precisely from the collaboration with Beenox. The fourth and final map accessible at the launch of this Season 3 is Growhouse, a remastered version of the Sphere map from CoD Vanguard.

Mid-season, Beenox will offer the map Checkpoint, a medium-sized map that takes up the Stronghold point of interest from Rebirth Island. In addition, there will be the Grime map, a medium-sized map for six-on-six battles that will require traversing the abandoned canal of London. Finally, those wreaking havoc on CoD Warzone will have the pleasure of returning to Rebirth Island.

Game modes to vary the fun

Two teams, a flag in each, one goal: steal the opponent's flag and bring it back to your side. It's simple, effective, and has existed for years... In short, the Capture the Flag mode is coming to the Multiplayer experience, starting now. It is accompanied by another mode, One in the Chamber, well known to Black Ops players. Again, the rules are simple: each operator has a bullet that kills in one hit. If they hit, they get an additional bullet. If they miss, melee combat is necessary for the next encounters. However, be careful, each character only has three lives.

Mid-season, two other game modes will appear. The first will be Minefield. It is a variant of the rules applicable to several game modes, including Confirmed Kill, Domination, and Hardpoint. Every time a player falls, a mine is dropped on their body. If an opponent passes nearby, it explodes; otherwise, it remains until someone passes by. Of course, the more eliminations, the more the field will fill with mines. The second will be Escort. It reprises the Payload mode that was once part of CoD Warzone. One team must escort a vehicle to its destination while the other must do everything to destroy it. Naturally, to increase the intensity of the confrontations, respawns are unlimited.

Finally, mid-season, attention will turn to the Vortex selection as the supernatural variant Blockvela will join the selection composed of Airborne, Satan's Quarry, Skidgrow, Sporeyard, and Tetanus. To enjoy this supernatural experience, the developers will add a new Arcade mode, the familiar Vortex Moshpit, and launch the Vortex Vir.Rus Central Computer event.

Brains... Zombies also have fresh blood

The Zombies mode is always a popular mode, and the developers are aware of this. Every Season, they make sure to bring fresh blood. Proof of this, broadly speaking, a third rift will open. It will require facing a diabolical variant of the Disciple. The story-driven part will also be enriched as you will have to try to save Dr. Jansen by entering a new region of the Dark Aether. Several challenges and blueprints will also be part of it, and the warlord Rainmaker will await you on Rahaa Island to shower you with bullets. Note that all this additional content is planned for mid-season.

Warzone or the return to Rebirth Island

Rebirth Island makes its grand return in CoD Warzone and, let me tell you, it might differ from your memories. So it's up to you to dive back into the 11 points of interest to master the changes. Rest assured, these remain recognizable at first glance, while the topography of the map remains unchanged. The structures are also similar, except for the novelty of the power plant, but you will find the points of interest in more altered versions. To give Warzone a boost, the developers have also worked on a few additional game modes.

From now on, you can jump into the Training Camp which brings together up to 44 players (including 24 bots and up to 20 players) on Urzikstan. It's ideal for people who would like to start but want to get their bearings before facing enemies that are not bots. Once the experience is gained, head to the Rebirth Resurgence mode, a faster and more aggressive version (thanks to quick redeployment) of Resurgence hosting up to 44 players on Rebirth Island. A loaded variant of the mode will be deployed mid-season. This time, there's no need to chase after loot, it will be possible to equip yourself with everything available from the start of the game. Finally, still mid-season, it will be possible to enjoy the Rebirth Blockade mode. Hosting 28 players, this one will require capturing and controlling zones. In short, it will be a mix between Battle Royale and Hardpoint.

A small note of importance, the atmosphere of Rebirth Island will evolve throughout the season. The development studio will integrate weather changes, without disrupting the readability of the action. We are promised especially a setting sun, a light fog, or even a sky that will darken. In any case, when these events occur, it will mean that unique items are to be collected. Note that the weather disturbance can last the entire game or only for a moment. To take full advantage of the situation, attention will need to be paid to a dozen smart billboards that will be integrated into the map. This will allow forecasting weather changes or knowing the zone where the most players are located and therefore potentially the most targets to eliminate.

The pocket version also gets its new features

In addition to the rewards shared between the three experiences, and despite a fairly recent launch of CoD Warzone Mobile, the first season of this mobile version of the game is connected to Season 3 of MWIII and Warzone. Thus, you can unlock several additional items, including weapons, operators, and even eight spare parts, not to mention over a hundred items to obtain between the Battle Pass and the Black Cell offer. But that's not all, as the Rust map, perfect for skirmishes in a confined space, arrives in CoD Warzone Mobile. MWII fans will easily recognize this oil rig where action prevails. The Plunder mode has also made its appearance. The goal? Earn money in two stages. The first requires reaching 2 million dollars cumulatively within the team. The second, to pocket more money than the opposing team during the following three minutes, knowing that all earnings are then doubled. During the season, the Redeploy mode in Battle Royale will be added. It is a variant of the classic mode. So head to Verdansk for Battle Royale with a slight alteration of the rules: with the gulag closed, you will only have the right to one and only one respawn.
