There is no doubt that all the players are eagerly awaiting October 25th to play the brand new Call of Duty, namely Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which has already been extensively presented here. In the meantime, it is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III that is getting its share of new features. Just like what was done with Season 3 and the previous ones, Season 4 is to be discovered in two stages. The first part having already been deployed, it is time to dive into the second called Season 4 Reloaded.
Humans vs Mutants
The Enhanced Genome event will spice up multiplayer games. Indeed, at any moment, in Mutation mode, operators can be infected and become real mutants. This mainly means that they are granted extraordinary abilities according to the class they belong to. There are four detailed below:
- Mutant Jumper: beware of the jumpers. These formidable mutants can become enraged, allowing them to move faster, increase their melee damage, and detect enemies in corners. Send a sensor grenade to reveal enemy positions to your team and finish the job with a charged jump.
- Radioactive Beast: half-dog, half-demon, radioactive beasts charge their enemies, leaving them in shock while increasing their health and movement speed by howling, and can reveal nearby enemies on the mini-map for the entire team.
Contaminated Sludge: stay away from this mutant, as it has the ability to explode by projecting mutant sludge over a wide area. Obstruct your opponents' vision with a smoke grenade, then launch a powerful acid jet that deals short-range damage and leaves acid puddles that hurt and slow the enemy.
- Camouflaged Pirate: the ultimate stealth mutant. Rush towards the enemy with an electrified leap and disorient them with an EMP. In case of a tricky maneuver, activate your cloak to become partially invisible for a short time.
In their team, the mutants can count on Zombie NPCs to overcome the humans. The latter, to compensate for the special powers of the adversaries, can rely on superior firepower and the ability to earn more killstreak points, notably gaining 5 for every 5 Zombie NPCs eliminated. If you think it's unfair to be on one side rather than the other, rest assured: at halftime, the roles are reversed!

A plan, headshots, the new features wreak Havoc
To properly recharge this season 4, the developers have added three new game modes. The first is Havoc. The idea is pretty simple. Basically, you take a classic team deathmatch and add an overlay with 5 modifiers randomly chosen from the 14 available. These naturally impact the course of the game. For example, gravity can be lower, the advanced drone always remains active, reloading is automatically activated after each elimination, or the action switches to third person. In any case, the first modifier is activated at the start of the game, and the other four are activated as soon as one of the two teams reaches a new threshold in eliminations, which are set at 12, 24, 36, and 48. Naturally, to enjoy the last activated modifier, the game extends until one of the two teams reaches 75 cumulative eliminations.
If you enjoy a challenge, then the Headshots Only game mode is for you. It is aptly named to understand what it's about. No matter the means used to inflict damage on the enemy, or even to eliminate them, for it to count, it must hit the head! Finally, to finish with the new game modes, we can note the deployment of Skirmish - Blueprint, a selection containing more compact maps and new weapon blueprints.

Searching for the pixel until you get a big head
No matter the game mode you operate in, if you activate the Pixelicide selection modifier, you will discover a new specificity. Be careful not to get a big head... Literally! Indeed, eliminating opponents will make the operator's head swell. The bigger it gets (with three size levels: small, medium, large), the easier a target the character becomes... But the more bonuses they will have related to the current game mode. Of course, when an operator falls in battle, they restart with a small head. To bring the desired pixel art touch, it is possible to participate in the Retro War event, acquire the 8-bit Blitz pack, or play on the new Bitvela map in 6v6. As its name suggests, it is a variant of the Favela map clad in pixels.

Summer Bows Out to Make Way for Snow
In the real world, the northern hemisphere has recently entered summer. In Call of Duty, the developers wanted to take the opposite approach with the new Standard map that has just been added. So head to the cold of the Urzikstan mountains for six-on-six battles on Incline. Outside, in the snowy part or sheltered from the snowflakes in the buildings, it doesn't matter, the action promises to be intense. Plus, there's a beautiful view of the portal with a quick trip around the peripheral. Of course, beauty often means danger. The heights will not forgive. A moment of inattention, a bad grip, and it's a guaranteed fall.

New York in a bloody version
Head to the Moshpit Vortex to discover a new map joining the selection composed of Airborne, Satan's Quarry, Skidgrow, Sporeyard, and Tetanus. As often, it is a variant of an existing map. In this case, it's Das Haus that gets a redesign following an extraterrestrial entity that decided to take over the downtown buildings of New York. This results in Das Gross, a small map that hosts six-on-six battles. Among its features, besides the large red organic tendrils covering several surfaces, there is the presence of blood on the walls and the appearance of sharp teeth at the flesh level. Sensitive souls beware!
