This is the big event of this new year. To celebrate the recent release of Squid Game Season 2, Netflix has partnered with Activision to integrate elements of the South Korean series into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone. We recently talked about it in our Metropolis Chronicle columns. Today, it's time to take stock of the added content, from new temporary game modes to the Event Pass.

One, two, three... game modes for Black Ops 6

Players enjoying the Multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 can now discover three temporary game modes. The first, inspired by the first game of the series, is none other than the famous Red Light, Green Light. This game mode slightly adapts the rule by placing all operators on the Red Stadium field. It's then off for three rounds, the first without weapons, the other two with, offering the opportunity to eliminate opponents using melee attacks and executions. Of course, as when we were young, the action can only take place when Young-hee counts. Once "Green Light" is announced, it's best to avoid moving.

Next, you are invited to participate in the Pentathlon. As its name suggests, it consists of a succession of five events. In this case, you will chain games in Domination, Confirmed Elimination, Hardpoint, Piggy Bank, and Roulette. The last two modes are small novelties. The first is a variant of Team Deathmatch by increasing the gain of the Mega Piggy Bank with each elimination. During the match, it releases the loot which must be collected. The second requires using the Roulette handgun to eliminate opponents in one shot. If you succeed, you earn twice as many points as usual. However, there is a risk that the shot fired backfires on you, resulting in an explosion in your hands.

Finally, the three novelties related to Squid Game are also integrated into Moshpit. Thus, in Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint, you can use a Red Light, Green Light Scorestreak. This will force all enemies to stop moving, otherwise, they will be eliminated. The Piggy Bank is also added. It fills up with each elimination and the loot is dropped during the game. Finally, the Roulette handgun is placed at the center of the map. It's up to you to retrieve it as quickly as possible to double the score by eliminating opponents in one shot. Be careful, the weapon can again explode in your hands, and the position of the player holding it is indicated to everyone.

Zombies change the rules, Urzikstan adapts

The Zombies mode also gets its own version of Red Light, Green Light... Except that the "Green Light" is replaced here by the word "Zombies". So, in Red Light, Green Light, Zombies, operators face the undead during the countdown phase, taking advantage of an Essence bonus to multiply eliminations. Once "Zombies" is said, Essence is drained from any Operator who moves, and the next wave increases the difficulty.

Call of Duty: Warzone is not left out as it also features content based on the famous Netflix series. To take on challenges on the island of Urzikstan, players must form squads. Of course, only the best will continue to progress while the others will be eliminated. As a side note, a new challenge can trigger a series of Red Light, Green Light.

An Event Pass, two paths

It’s almost inevitable, a new collaboration means a new Event Pass. As usual, it consists of two paths, the free one and the Premium one displayed at 1100 COD Points. Among the most attention-grabbing rewards in the free path are the skins of player 006 Niran and player 115 Maya. The Premium path allows access to several weapon blueprints, an Emote, an emblem, an execution, or even the Front Man operator. If you want the Young-hee Operator, head to the store to get the Young-hee Tracer Pack.
