Le phénomène KPop Demon Hunters envahit Fortnite
FortniteOct 1, 20252 min read

With over 300 million views, the animated film KPop Demon Hunters is a true phenomenon. Created by Chris Appelhans and Maggie Kang, the feature film highlights Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, members of a famous K-Pop group. In addition to their celebrity lives on stage, the singers are also demon hunters. Of course, to avoid exposure, they hide behind a secret identity. A successful franchise often means a partnership with Epic Games, especially since the film was made with Unreal Engine, the studio's famous engine.

K-Pop on the attack in Fortnite

Fortnite is an ultra-popular video game. To keep the community active while trying to convert newcomers, Epic Games continually renews the content of the title. Whether with original elements or with partnerships, the studio regularly spoils players. Naturally, when a phenomenal franchise emerges, you can almost certainly expect it to appear at some point in Fortnite. This was the case with Hatsune Miku via the Fortnite Festival or with Squid Game, Netflix's ultra-popular series.

Precisely, at the beginning of this month, a new partnership with the red N company will be implemented. This time, it's to highlight KPop Demon Hunters, an animated film that has found its audience. Between action, humor, and songs, the feature film has won the hearts of many people. As a result, Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, the three members of the fictional group HUNTR/X, arrive tomorrow. Until November 1st, you will be able to recruit them to play the Demon Rush mode, a variant of Horde Rush. This time, you will face waves of faceless demons. A dedicated pack will also be added to the store to allow those who wish to obtain outfits and accessories for the trio, along with some emotes. LEGO versions of the trio will also be included. Additionally, some items to use in Battle Royale and Blitz, including Rumi's sword and Mira's extra spicy Ramyeon, will be available as rewards for completing quests.

Finally, thanks to the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and Creative mode, content creators will be able to generate their own KPop Demon Hunters games starting tomorrow. For this, Epic Games will provide resources in the colors of the franchise, starting with the NPCs Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. Naturally, the studio will make available enemies and gameplay items inspired by the franchise. Thus, everyone will be able to remix existing islands or let their imagination run wild to create entirely new islands emphasizing close combat.
