Laufey becomes the headliner of Season 14 of the Fortnite Festival

The Fortnite Festival is a musical experience created by Harmonix Music Systems. The studio, which developed the first Guitar Hero, the Rock Band franchise, and Dance Central, offers a stage that hosts various artists over the seasons. Several big names are of course highlighted, in addition to emerging personalities, and sometimes even virtual artists like Hatsune Miku, who are featured. In Season 14, it's Laufey's sound that graces our ears. 

Music soothes the soul

This April 16, 2026, marks the launch of Season 14 of the Fortnite Festival. Listen closely and let yourself be lulled by the unique sound of Laufey. This young Icelandic singer-songwriter, whose full name is Laufey Lín Bing Jónsdóttir, impressed the Icelandic audience by being a finalist on Island Got Talent in 2014, before reaching the semifinals of The Voice Iceland. This gave her a springboard to start her career. With her unique style, she reinterprets several songs with her modern jazz style, until she was spotted by the label AWAL. That's where her career took off, signing several studio albums between 2022 and 2026. 

If you want to immerse yourself even more in the musical experience, you can plug in any Fortnite-compatible microphone to sing like in karaoke. You can even move freely in the improv circle to occupy the space on stage. It's an opportunity to make a few dance moves, for example. If you're more of a musician, you can also find an experience similar to Rock Band by connecting the drum kit from the fourth game or a compatible MIDI drum kit. All that's left is to play with your drumsticks. As a bonus, the development studio has integrated a new Quick Mix UI. As the name suggests, it allows you to change or mix tracks in improv mode. 

Finally, as always, a new Pass arrives. Named Emberlight Music Pass, it allows you to unlock some rewards, including instruments and auras inspired by Laufey. Two outfits are also part of the offering. The first, the white dress, is unlocked as soon as you access the Pass. The second, however, requires completing all the objectives of said Pass. It's the condition to wear the Golden Era Laufey Outfit. For music lovers, note that the Pass allows you to unlock a new music track, namely "Madwoman." You can also listen to it in the album "A Matter of Time: The Final Hour."
