Hello everyone, hello to all here, Quill from the Metropolis Chronicle for your gaming news bulletin. As you may have seen in the title, I will once again talk to you about LOL. Indeed, after more than 7 long years dedicated to the development of its new game, the studios of Riot Games have finally unveiled the famous "Project L".
To provide context, it is a fighting game featuring the Champions of League Of Legends. Announced in development seven years ago, we were all eager to learn more. That has been achieved today, and I'm not hiding my pleasure to say that I'm very excited to finally discover what the game has in store.
Project L will offer players classic battles for any good fighting game, namely 1v1, 2v2, and even 2v1. As I write these lines, only six champions have been announced, leaving plenty of room for rumors and speculations surrounding these characters, as it would be logical to see them appear in the fighting game: Akali, Braum, Blitzcrank, Ezreal, Garen, Lucian, Karma, Kindred, Lux, Rengar, Riven, Samira, Senna, Sett, Teemo, Thresh, Vi, Yasuo, and Zed.
We know that a demo will be playable at EVO 2023 and I can't hide my impatience. As a reminder, the EVO (Evolution Championship Series) is the American esports event exclusively reserved for versus fighting games. Regarding the 2023 edition, it will take place from August 4th to 6th. I still invite you to be patient because this famous demo will only be available during the first two days of the event. We already know that three champions will be available. They are Ekko, Ahri, and Darius. RG announced that a fourth would be available without revealing the name. Enough to stir even more impatience among the biggest fans of us.
I am already delighted at the idea of finally getting my hands on a title that I have been waiting for many years. Let's thank the studios and developers for giving us this first glimpse, and the fact that they are finally ready to make the game accessible to the general public shows the confidence that all developers and players alike have in this project.
That's all for today, but we'll meet again very soon for a new gaming news bulletin. It was Quill wishing you a good day in Metropolis.
