Last week, to put an end to various rumors, Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond, and Matt Booty spoke in an official business-oriented podcast to outline the current vision of Xbox. On this occasion, it was indicated that four Xbox games would be ported to other platforms, without specifying which ones. The answer has just been revealed…
Grounded and Pentiment
The two games have two things in common. They were both developed by Obsidian Entertainment and they are both being ported to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Pentiment is a narrative adventure game with a unique aesthetic. A true critical success, it probably hasn't had the visibility it deserves. Thus, from today, Switch and PlayStation players can discover this gem. Grounded, on the other hand, is an adventure and survival game focusing on cooperation to survive in a hostile environment: its garden. With its Honey, I Shrunk the Kids vibe, the title has already gathered over 20 million players. As of April 16, the community can grow even more with its arrival on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves
Hi-Fi Rush is a beautiful action and rhythm game developed by Tango Gameworks that took advantage of a shadow drop to create a surprise in January 2023, during the Xbox Developer_Direct. Now available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, the title will arrive on Sony's console on March 19. As for Sea of Thieves, it is about to dock on PlayStation 5. More precisely, it will sail towards the new horizon on April 30. Those who have Sony's console will be able to discover an adventure game by Rare that highlights the world of piracy. Available since 2018 on Xbox, this community title has benefited from exemplary support that has completely transformed and enhanced it since. A small note, and not the least, cross-play will be enabled for all platforms. Whether you play on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox, you can join the community which counts over 35 million players.
