At EVO 2026, Riot Games announced the next two characters who will join the cast of 2XKO. We then learned that Lux and Samira will arrive by the end of the year. The publisher had then specified that we would have to wait until autumn to discover a more complete presentation. The wait has been shortened as Lux is now being revealed more fully, just days before her official integration.

The light of Demacia will shine
On September 8, 2026, Riot Games will deploy patch 1.3.1 for 2XKO, which will represent the last update related to balancing and will be accompanied by the addition of Lux to the cast. This character is quite special as it has been designed for everyone to handle easily. This makes her an ideal Champion for beginners but also for those who appreciate versatile fighters. In other words, the mage from Demacia, whose full name is Luxanna Crownguard, is effective at all distances, without excelling. Thus, she can use her magic for ranged attacks, while her luminous staff is a real asset for close combat.
If you follow social networks and other places that spread rumors, you might have expected her to be a "zoning champion." That will not be the case. As Paul, the main producer of the gameplay team, who is notably in charge of champions and balancing, specifies, Lux benefits from a simple game plan. Mastering the basics of gameplay will allow you to make the most of this character, from her powerful attacks to her anti-air move, including her projectile announced as rather effective and her aerial dash. As you have understood, the Lady of Light shines in all areas. More experienced players will not be left in the dark either, as this fighter has some tricks up her sleeve offering greater depth of play.
As the icing on the cake, Lux will also benefit from a launch skin, namely Fairy Court Lux. Let's also mention that the development team plans to celebrate Halloween in their own way with the integration of demonic skins for Illaoi, Teemo, and Warwick. Stickers and avatar items will also be part of the package. Patch 1.3.3, the last one planned, will add 35 new skins to allow everyone to find the appearance that suits them best. It will also fix bugs, adjust certain elements, and integrate Samira, the last character of the roster. The goal for the development team is to finish the follow-up by leaving the game in the best possible state.
