Last stop for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, all zombies get off
Even though Activision hammers home the idea that “truth is just an illusion” as part of the promotional campaign for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, there are elements that have indeed been confirmed. Thus, we already know that early access to the game will begin on August 30 and it will be followed by an open beta between September 6 and 9. We also know that the Zombies mode will return in this new installment by Treyarch. This is timely, as it is this aspect that has just been unveiled.
Escape to avoid staying at Terminus
Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie Carver, Elizabeth Grey, Oskar Strauss, and Stoney “Raptor-1” Maddox, the members of the Requiem faction, are back for a new adventure. More precisely, following their feat of closing the last dimensional portal and sending all the zombies into the Dark Aether, they have been imprisoned on Terminus Island. Players will find them after a little over five years of imprisonment to discover their fate and learn Richtofen's plans. In this new adventure, two people will come to their aid to try to help them escape.
The first is Maya Aguinaldo, a Filipino smuggler investigating her brother's disappearance. The second, who is by her side, is Dr. William Peck. This character is hated by all our heroes, and the revealed cinematic clearly shows all the resentment they feel towards him. Nevertheless, when zombies emerge, either to invade the island or attack the inhabitants of Liberty Falls, certain priorities take precedence over personal feelings. A new group is thus formed to go and slaughter zombies en masse.
A glimpse of the gameplay
The cinematic provides some elements of the synopsis. To complement this story-focused section, Activision has also unveiled the first gameplay trailer for the Zombies mode. This is an opportunity to get a good look at the bestiary included in this new installment and the arsenal that will be available to use. One can also appreciate part of the environments that will need to be traversed to successfully complete the mission. As was revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase , two new maps will be available at launch. These will be the two epicenters of the new zombie invasion, namely Terminus and Liberty Falls. As the video suggests to support Treyarch's claims, the Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be the most dynamic in the franchise, thanks in part to the introduction of the new movement system.
Show your love for Zombies mode IRL thanks to Fulllife
You already saw it in June, Gaz, the member of Task Force 141, was able to be dressed in the game with a special jersey allowing to support England, Germany, or France thanks to the “Tournament Favorites” pack. This was aimed at accompanying Euro 2024 and allowing fans to show their support for one of these three teams. IRL, Fulllife materialized the three jerseys.
