World of Warcraft Classic: phase 2 of the season

WoW Classic Saison 2
World of WarcraftFeb 11, 20242 min read

Players of World of Warcraft Classic, phase 2 of the discovery season is now live. You have the opportunity to venture into the ten-player raid dungeon Gnomeregan to discover a new challenge, gain up to 31 additional talent points, or advance from level 25 to level 40 (if you are not yet level 25, a 50% XP bonus will be granted). Of course, other surprises await you, including new loot, bosses that have received some modifications, and the integration of the Blood Moon PvP event. While all the details, including all rune technique updates, are detailed on the Blizzard website, your dear Quill is keen to review the main new features of this new phase.

A raid, six bosses, ten players

Welcome to Dun Morogh, one of the Alliance territories! Gnomeregan, the ten-player raid dungeon, has been revamped for this second phase of the discovery season. Ten adventurers can gather to face six bosses, including a new one. Of course, the developers have reworked the other five bosses to maintain a certain challenge. Various rewards and items are to be collected, in addition to the possibility of starting new quests, obtaining class sets, or receiving more suitable rewards for players at level 40.

Revised loot and bosses

Heroes are in search of rewards and Blizzard has not forgotten this as new loot is part of the package. The studio promises "fun items" and nods to older, well-known items for those who have visited the said dungeon. As for the bosses, it's noted that Crowd Pummeler 9-60 has been relocated and must now be faced in front of a crowd. Grubbis has new radiation vents and Mekgineer Thermaplugg has new mechanical combinations. A tip? Stay alert!

Look up, don't miss the blood moon

Head to the Stranglethorn Valley to not miss the new PvP event called Blood Moon. Available every three hours for a duration of half an hour, it adds a mysterious red mist and allows anyone who kills player characters to collect a currency to earn rewards. Note that there is no PvP objective to achieve during this event and it is preferable to avoid the Blood Loa, at the risk of perishing. At any time, by talking to the Zandalari emissary, you can leave the event, of course forfeiting the currency and thus the rewards. Finally, it is worth noting that GDKP is prohibited during this season of discovery.
