If World of Warcraft is still as popular more than 20 years after its launch, it's because Blizzard Entertainment has managed to unite an entire community. To keep it active, the studio regularly offers new features. The next one will be the Midnight expansion, which promises to revolutionize the experience. While waiting for its official deployment in early 2026, some people now have the chance to taste it thanks to the launch of the beta today.
Taste the revolution before others
Early next year, Blizzard Entertainment plans to revolutionize the World of Warcraft experience. It's the Midnight expansion that will handle this with the integration of the Logis system. If all the details have already been communicated in our columns, notably through this presentation article of said system, let's recall the main points. Players will be able to create their own home to decorate with the elements they unlock. The homes will be grouped by neighborhoods, and everyone will move around peacefully. No combat on the horizon, it will be a moment of relaxation and discovery. Several biomes will be integrated, and everyone can be welcomed, even if you build a Horde Logis in an Alliance Neighborhood.
No need to wait until 2026 to open the door to your Logis, the beta currently available gives a preview of this novelty, and this, as of now. Of course, the expansion promises massive content, and this trial proves it. During the first week, players can explore the first four zones of Midnight, create their Haranir (a new allied race), or become a void elf demon hunter. This introduction thus allows wandering in the Eversong Woods (redesigned for the occasion), Zul'Aman, Harandar, or even in the Void Tempest zone.
Of course, Silvermoon City, the capital of the Blood Elves, remains a crucial waypoint. Rest assured, you won't be bored as the development team has planned sessions to hunt specific targets, eight new dungeons, new activities, and an epic campaign requiring escorting Arator. Small bonuses include an updated user interface and routes offered to beginners and those returning to the game after a more or less long break.
After that, it won't be over, far from it. Blizzard Entertainment has prepared other novelties that will be deployed during weeks 2 and 3. Raids, a revised transmogrification system, Mythic+ dungeons, and higher-level chasms will notably be on the program. Of course, the Logis system remains the novelty not to be missed, and the team will invite amateur decorators to enjoy some night elf and blood elf exterior decoration elements.
Then there's one last question for those who haven't followed previously... How do you access the said beta? You need to receive an invitation. Besides community veterans, journalists, and other influencers, those who have pre-purchased or upgraded to the Epic Edition are invited to participate. In addition to that, it includes those who have tried their luck by requesting access via the site dedicated to the expansion.
