The Burning Crusade... Mentioning this name awakens the memories of many people. It takes us back to the past, going a little over 19 years back. We set the scene. January 2007, World of Warcraft welcomes its first expansion. It's the call of adventure, the opportunity to discover Outland, an exiled world made up of seven zones. At that time, the Alliance swells its ranks with the Draenei, while the Horde welcomes the Blood Elves. February 2026, with the release of the anniversary edition of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic, Blizzard Entertainment offers everyone the chance to cross the Dark Portal once again... As if it all happened yesterday.

Nostalgia for some, discovery for others

In August 2019, Blizzard Entertainment had a great idea: to reissue World of Warcraft in a Classic version allowing everyone to enjoy the original experience. It was an opportunity for seasoned players to return to the roots and for newcomers to discover the title before the integration of expansions. A little over six years later, World of Warcraft Classic evolves and welcomes Burning Crusade as announced in the 2026 roadmap presented earlier in the year.

What does this mean? That the WoW Classic experience now allows reaching level 70... But also and especially that it is now possible to discover the exiled world of Outland. Many other new features are part of it, just like back in the day. You can now become a jeweler (with the jewelcrafting profession), soar through the skies on flying mounts, or discover the Blood Elves and Draenei. In addition to that, three dates are to be remembered.

Starting January 13, treat yourself to a boost with the Level Character 58 Boost (Anniversary). As its name suggests, it allows boosting your characters to level 58, which also applies to new Blood Elf and Draenei characters. A week later, on February 19, players will be able to face three challenging raids. Will you find the courage to explore the decrepit tower of Karazhan? Will you dare to enter the lair of Gruul the Dragonkiller? Will you have the strength to face Magtheridon, the former lord of Outland?

Finally, February 17 will be marked by the introduction of the first PvP arena season. For the occasion, everyone will be able to compete in three arenas, namely Ring of Trials in Nagrand, Blade's Edge Mountains, and the Ruins of Lordaeron. Of course, the best fighters will leave with rewards, including mounts and gear.
