Last week Microsoft unveiled the lineup of games joining Game Pass between February 7 and 20, 2024. During the first hours of the news going online, the title displayed the name of a game that was not mentioned in the body of the article, that of Tales of Arise, which sparked some rumors. Xbox Japan just put an end to them on X (formerly Twitter) by confirming the arrival of the Bandai Namco game in Game Pass for February 20. For the record, the title will also join the PlayStation Plus catalog on the same date.

Tales of Arise, what is it?

Tales of Arise is a J-RPG released on September 10, 2021, on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It follows the story of Alphen (voiced by Takuya Sato) and Shionne (played by Shimoji Shino), two characters from very different backgrounds but who have one thing in common: changing their destiny. To do so, they must travel the world of Dahna, a world enslaved for 300 years by Rena who has plundered its resources.

A critically acclaimed game

The title was a real critical success upon its release, to the point of winning the “BEST RPG” award at the 2021 Game Awards. Players will therefore be able to discover this gem of 2021 which received an expansion called Beyond the Dawn Expansion at the end of 2023. This latter adds about twenty hours of additional content and offers a story that takes place one year after the end of the base game.
