Xbox: The Game Pass and Games with Gold for August 2023
Hello everyone, hello to all here Quill from the Metropolis Chronicle for your gaming news bulletin. Today, it's about games announced by Xbox for its Game Pass and Game With Gold services that I will talk to you about.
After a very busy month of July, the first games planned for August are starting to be revealed. At the time of writing, three titles have already been announced. Let's start with Sea Of Stars. It is an RPG developed by the studios Sabotage (you can't make this stuff up!). We will follow the adventures of two heroes, Valere and Zale. The game will arrive on August 23rd and thus Day One in the Xbox Game Pass. The game is in 2D and will offer turn-based combat as well as various puzzles to solve. I am very eager to discover this title and embark on the adventure.
Let's continue with The Chain Saw Massacre. The adaptation of the famous horror film series "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" is also coming to the American firm's service. Do I really need to give you more details about what awaits you? One thing is certain, we are clearly not in the same mood as the next game which is...
Celeste! I pause for a moment on this game as it is incredible! Undoubtedly one of the best games of 2018. It's no wonder it won the Game Award for Best Independent Game the same year. This game will take you on a journey as much as it will frustrate you, but reaching the end of its beautiful story provides a feeling of joy but also melancholy for an adventure already completed. I wholeheartedly invite those who haven't yet had the pleasure of discovering the title to do so from August 1st, the date it arrives on Xbox Game Pass.
Last on this list for now and not the least since it is none other than the Xbox Series X|S version of Everspace 2. The game available since 2021 but only on PC is finally coming to consoles. No doubt that like me, many of you are waiting for it. Just a few more days of patience since the title will be available in the Xbox Game Pass on August 15th. It is the game that will set the mood but especially that will make us wait until next September 6th. Release date of Starfield (with a Day One arrival in the GamePass) but that's another story.
The Game with Gold games for the month of August
Two games have been announced. Blue Fire and Inertial Drift . The two titles will be available for free as part of Xbox With Gold and Game Pass Ultimate. The first is a 3D platformer available since February 4, 2021. With a very polished art direction, the game is reminiscent of another well-known universe. I'll let you be the judge. The second is a car racing simulation game where, as you might have guessed, you'll need to drive! As fast as possible while performing as many drifts as you can. I think the game can be very fun, especially if you play against your friends or online.
